I contacted the ruck shop and they said ncy stopped sending their heads in the ncy package about a year ago. When I get the head back I'll share more picks. Thanks

I brought the head here. They seem like a home run. I think that is pretty much all they do. carlquistengines.com/George when u ordered your ncy head, did it come in a ncy box?

so my NCY Big Valve Cylinder Head cam in. rapped in some brown paper and did not have an NCY box. How do i know it is NCY? Anyway I took it to the machine shop and which usually works on high end motorcycles and cars and they said this is officially the worse head they ever saw. they said that they will be able to make it much better. The good thing they were so exited about the little head, lol... Here are some pics of the head and the shop.
as a side note the rest of my order came in, NCY 30mm carburator with no NCY box??? ? Intake manifold looks very nice NCY BBK is in NCY box.

Good information guys. I really wanted to try the A14, that is the only part I am still missing. The Hoca Camshaft at partforscooter is an A14. Which A9 that is a good brand you guys recommend? I might as well go with the mainstream...

I ended up getting an A14 as I think it would work better with my hand ported head and valve job. My buddy got the A11 so we shall see. should be a nice comparison test :-) Keep in mind I do not plan to go much past 7500 rpm

dmartin95 , sorry man these terms got me confused too. What I meant I am going with the big bore kit ncy 61mm where ad my friends won't upgrade ccs at all. Why am I goin with A14 well that is tough to explain as I made my decision based from what I read online if it is all true. Anyway from what I read the A14 performs best on hand ported heads and also it makes its power from 6500 rpm too abot 8k rpm and peak power is at 7500 rpm. Since I do not plan to go much higher rpm then 7700 rpm i figure it would work for me, but really I don't know. Supposedly the other type of cams like a9 make peak power at 8500 rpm.

dmartin95 yes that is correct. the NCY 61mm does not need boring We are going to get the most power from the cylinder head, thus we find it important that the head are hand ported for efficiency which would increase overall hp. Also doing a valve job which is to resurface the mating surfaces of the poppet valves and their respective valve seats that control the intake and exhaust of the air/fuel mixture that powers the motion of the pistons after the start cycle. This assure maximum power

The stock gears are plenty good enough to be able to reach 65 mph . its the power these scoots lack when stock that keeps us from reaching those speeds. So when we do a bbk and all the other mods we don't need to go up that far with gearing " if at all" . the 14:38 gears are perfect for these scoots with bbks and all the other mods . the higher you go in gearing the more power you need to push the gears, and your eventually defeating the purpose of modding the scoot. Gearing also affects what size variator weights you use. You want to be able to get full climb out of the variator and be able to reach 7500 rpms . if you cannot get full climb out of the variator , there is no need to change gearing. That's the problem with the koso variators. Its nearly impossible to reach full climb . that's also why its important when buying a variator to ask around . we now have a atleast a list " NOT TO BUY" when it comes to them . I'm really curious how your top mph will turnout ! geh3333, when you changes to 14:38 did you still need a press to make that change or it is not needed? I should be fully upgraded in the next couple of weeks and gearing is the only thing that I have not bought for yet (I am on 10" wheels).... thank you - Luigi

Hi all, I found a pretty sick chart about camshaft but I do not know how true it is. I ordered a bunch of parts and I am missing only a camshaft. I was thinking about going with the A14 from hoca, but this chart makes me want to get an A11. I would love to know what you guys think and I am also not able to find a good quality A11 anywhere. ideas?

Hi All, about to place another order, but while talking to one of the vendors they are telling me that Hoca is way better than NCY. Obviously they carry Hoca only... lol
anyway I need to order 61mm valves head and I am debating between the two. My gut is telling me to go with the NCY as I think it comes with better valves... anyway I would love for others to chime in.
thank you
