I went to crank up my scoot today and noticed something was rattling behind the muffler. My flywheel came loose. The nut to tighten on the flywheel was not tight.
Now the key notch on my crank is a little rounded on the left side about 2mm.
The flywheel notch is destroyed.
I'm officially screwed.
It's crazy how the smallest thing can make money disappear from your wallet the fastest.
Now I think I need a new crank. Please tell me there is a solution to this problem.
Any donations?

The notch on the flywheel is a little rounded at the back but straighten up going to the front. I think its alright for now. The key notch on the crank is fine. I put the woodruff key back in and it started up and takes off fine. Still needs a new stator though. Thinking about just getting a 6-pole stator. ($20) Or save my money to get a 8-pole and flywheel combo ($40). any thoughts? It is a difference between a half-wave ac and a full-wave ac stator? No my key is nothing like that. We was talking about the key where the flywheel is on. Mine fell out while I was trying to get my flywheel off.

I found a 6-pole stator. Everything matches perfectly except the harness.
It has that 4 pin 3 female connection harness but I have a 3 pin 3 connection one.
The cable colors are the same they are just made with a different harness.
Can I wire my harness to the new stator? I dont see why it would hurt anything.
Just tired of recharging my batteries and lights not working.

I dont have any money to invest in a flywheel so I'm just going to get a 6 pole stator.
Great video and im ok on wireing things.
Also my woodruff key is misshaped, and I was wondering could I just lightly sand it a little? I know it's going to not perform like new but my stator isnt working good anyway. Then my weird cdi bypasses a bad stator for start up.

Alright so I took off the flywheel of my 150cc scoot ,and noticed that a small metal piece was on the wall of the flywheel. Which means the flywheel has scratches and small dents in it. How did it get there and what is it? Shaped like a half moon. Anyway, I also noticed that a lot of grime was on the stator. (Its a bad stator) My stator has 6 copper poles and I was wondering could I upgrade it to 8? I already picked one out. Also do I have to get a "8 lead flywheel"? I dont think I have to. O and alleyoop, I replaced my fork oil no problem thanks. i57.tinypic.com/2w4cl0i.jpgi62.tinypic.com/14kfqet.jpgi59.tinypic.com/30kpx8p.jpgi58.tinypic.com/352j4eq.jpg ksaun123, onewheeldrive, ramblinman, tvnacman, dmartin95 JR, alleyoop, Doug, JerryScript, skuttadawg,

So, I went out today to try to fix my speedometer sensor and struggled to get the front axle off. Long story short, I ended up getting it out using wd-40 a hammer and a tap... Managed to fix the sensor, cleaned old grease out and put new in. I looked up at my forks and saw this i62.tinypic.com/j14oe1.jpgCould I just take them off and open them up to clean and put new grease in? If so, what kind of grease/lube? Just decided to put the tire back on and had the HARDEST time doing so. Ended up using web clamps/straps. JR, alleyoop, Doug, JerryScript, skuttadawg, PS: do you all get annoyed when I tag you?

Riding up the road, I noticed my scooter got very loud. I stopped in my friends drive-way to check it out. Felt air from my exhaust leaking from where the head brace used to be. I previously cut it off due to it not fitting... Some how it vibrated completely off while i was riding leaving a hole in my muffler head. already tried jb weld, didn't quite work out like i planed. Any ideas at all would be helpful. Would high temp jb weld epoxy work good? Can I just get some hvac tape and go crazy? Looking for a way around welding a piece of metal over it... Should I get a 110 main jet or a 115? My 125 is too big.
Tested my rectifier and I had about 1.5vac going to the white wire, 3.5vac going to the yellow wire, and regular 26vac going to the red. Of course 0vac going to ground. With the scoot started.
Set my timing the right way and my scoot took off. Estimated about 50mph when I went down the road with it. It cut off when I got to the end of the road... Had to push it back.
Think it was a gas problem. Hopefully I didn't loose compression. I'm going back out there tomorrow to see what happened. Gas is about 3 or 4 months old.
Probably the main jet sucked all the gas out the bowl too fast for it to be filled up again.?
Also, am I supposed to set the valves to 0.004in and 0.005ex, or 0.04in and 0.05ex?

So, I worked on my scoot today... Adjusted the brakes like I was told; everything went good, but the brake assembly kept sticking every time I squeeze the brake lever. Guess I should have put brake grease on the part where it rotates/moves the drum.? Didn't realize I still had exhaust studs on my old 125cc cylinder head. So I installed them on my new head that broke off... Wasted $5 Did the cylinder head liquid test. Left rubbing alcohol in there for a few hours and came to find out there was no leaks. Looks like I need a new exhaust, because the one I got installed is too loud even with the exhaust studs on. My exhaust is a little burned, but that was to be expected since my exhaust stud broke off. There is a burnt yellow in the inside of my intake valve on the head. Is that normal? i59.tinypic.com/2nbhz6b.jpgMade a nice secure bracket for my muffler... i59.tinypic.com/29mpxs3.jpgWhen my scoot sits on idle, this is what the high beam light looks like. i59.tinypic.com/292r7nk.jpgGrounding issue I bet. Also, I measured my brake shoes with it still on the scoot and it measured 125mm from outside to outside. Is that how you measure them? Might be 105mm with it off... Didn't have time to do any electrical work today. Also I have a video if interested. Also I noticed that it doesnt go anywhere when I hit the gas, probably because I got a too jet too big.? I did adjust the pin in the carb... huh well I guess I just answered my own question.
