I was looking back at my older discussion and alley posted a picture of where the wires supposed to go... Why is mine backwards? Was it the problem the whole time? The left pic is my scoot solenoid. The cable with the black tape is going to the battery. i58.tinypic.com/21keedw.png

Did they measure it in ohms? Kind of forgot what resistance was measured in... Does it matter that its a racing cdi?

How would I check the blue cdi to see if it's good or not?
Also, would it be good if I make the exhaust studs to be 8mm non-metric instead of 6mm metric?

Don't know about it being the switches. When I hit high beam, on start, I can see the light turn a dull orange.

I replaced all the bulbs and hooked the assembly straight to a battery from the harness, they worked fine. Done this several times, didn't blow the bulbs either. The horn works. The only things that don't work are both the high and low beam lights and the speedometer. Gas guage and battery gauge work fine. Need to check for a proper ground. The whole front are held together with zip ties, so I'm going to have to cut them off to mess with the lights Don't want to do in the cold... It was the bulb itself that got orange... Really just trying to make the scoot stable enough to be reliable. Didn't get a chance to go out today... I wish it was spring already.

All 4 signals work fine with and without it running. I have a separate high beam and low beam light. when I hit the hb switch. I see where the bulb get hot/orange, but no light. The orange from the bulb gets brighter only at high rpm's. Same with low beam.
I replaced the 4-pin rectifier and grounded it, still same problem.
I have a video of it if you are interested...
Thinking about getting smaller main jet, a 115, and a bigger pilot jet, 38, because it can't start without starting fluid. Then the bogging issues. (adjusted the carb pin(no luck), messed with a/f mixture screw, throttle cable, and put on stock air filter, still no luck)

Brand new orange coil, Good NGK spark plug. Sparks fine with stock cdi installed.
I have a battery charger that I hook up to the battery that's hooked up to the scoot.
I will do the test when I go back out.
The headlights suppose to come on with motor running (doesn't come on, new rectifier...), but I have 2 smaller lights in front that come on with key.
Havnt tried revving it to check the red/black cdi wire. (it was checked when cranking) The engine does start, but the question was if it was a ac scoot or not and what kind of cdi it had on... plus headlight issues and bogging issues...
Finally got a digital caliper... It was the piston that was too small, not the cylinder... Wasted $45

No it had no spark when I tried that... It still gives a faint spark when I hook up the blue cdi though.

About 32vac comes out the red/black wire from the 2 pin of the cdi when i crank. I need a new stator

Guess it's just cranking like there's no cdi hooked up... lain

I have to take a picture of it... I know when I redid the pwr wire, it was connected on...

It's connected by itself to the solenoid. When I got the scoot it was connected there by a naked wire wrapped around it, until I put a ring terminal on it.
