Glad to hear that things are finally on the upswing! Now just get the scoot out of mothballs and things will seem oh so much brighter. (And everyone here knows what a ride up on two wheels can do for you.... Magic!)

Funny, but the most famous cannon of all couldn't exactly be called "macho" as it was the Mons-Meg. In the middle ages this lady was capable of hurling a 400 pound stone sphere some two miles.(If I remember, she just underwent a full restoration and is on display a a castle in Edinburgh Scotland.)

Yeah well, considering how overpriced Vespas are (and with Kymco's quality on these models being very good} they had it coming. Heck, even my BV was cheaper than a Vespa. Piaggio's self-competing, ha. Of course, those who want a Vespa WANT a Vespa, regardless of extra price. >'Kat Remember designer jeans? When people paid 500 bucks for what essentially was a pair of Levi's?... Snob appeal Kat.

www.cycleworld.com/2018-kymco-spade-150-xciting-400i-abs-xtown-300i-abs-like-150i-abs-first-ride-reviewThe Spade is hot but get this!! The Xciting 400i’s most Xciting feature may be its price. At $5,999, it’s two grand less than the Suzuki Burgman 400 ABS and much cheaper than the Burgman Executive ($10,999, no ABS), Honda Silver Wing ABS ($9,270), and Yamaha TMAX ($10,490, no ABS).And this! the Xtown 300i ABS is an attractive, if less exciting, option. This is the workhorse of the group, designed to transport you cheaply and efficiently while commuting or on weekend tours. For $3,999, you get a previous-generation, 276cc 2-valve single making a claimed 23 hp at 8,000 rpm and 16.6 lb-ft. of torque at 6,500 rpm.You have to know at those prices the scooters are built in China, BUT who cares! The Kymco 300 under cuts a Vespa Primavera by $1000. Screaming bargains. Yah, built in China but with Kymco quality control.

Why spend 3K on a Kymco, when for 200 bucks more you can get the Honda with updated features and styling? The K-pipe might have 17 inch wheels, but it's just a little too bare-bones and underpowered.

Ingenious, but you had either be really good at doing metal fabrication yourself or have a large bank account.

Well, the Chinese are slowly moving up the same "High road to quality" the Japanese did sixty years ago. Times change, and their abilities and target market are changing with it. Now the only thing to do is wait and see what the Indian manufacturers will be unveiling. (Things are getting interesting.)

HeHeHe... I miss that show! It's not on anymore in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. I really enjoyed the variety of characters in the 'Possum Lodge"... I suppose the cast was just getting too old and wanting to retire. It WAS funny!!! I miss Harold. "Uh, Uncle Red....Whaaagh" LOL! And don't forget Winston Rothschild the third, sewage and spetic sucking service!

Einstein. He frequently was thrown out of class for correcting his teachers and arguing with them. He refused to be a brick in the wall. Both were known for being an independent ornery cuss. (With people this bright it comes with the territory.)
