Doug, Thanks for all the wonderful assistance in getting us through the "rough patch" when the old SD had it's meltdown. I agree with the other voices here. Drop in from time to time and let everyone know how you're getting on.

Hiya Jethro9 You are now up against the infamous (and diabolically designed) self locking tabs on the Znen Roar. After aforementioned seat removal, start from the back (near the license plate) and work your way forward. As I do this I have small precut pieces of paper, that I make a small drawing of the screw locations on the panels. I also mark a large number on the paper 1,2,3, etc, to help remember the overall assembly sequence, (as there is in my estimation an overkill in the use of screws, and far too many to remember the location of.) As I go I put the screws and paper in a small plastic sandwich bag and set aside. Don't kid yourself, taking apart the Roar's body panels can be exceptionally tough. I found separating those tabs a real nightmare. (ended up filing down the tab "Lip") work slowly and give yourself plenty of time. (you're going to need it)

Very nice Leo. I'm sure it will add to your safety. BTW, I wear a vest with 120 led lights and sometimes DO feel like a moving target! Spandi,
Wow! That vest sounds like John Travolta might have liked it for the disco... We REALLY need a pic of THAT! Just gotta ask: Have you EVER forgotten and gone into Wally World wearing it turned on?
Seriously though, visibility is a BIGGIE when it comes to safety. Cars DO tailgate us, and ESPECIALLY tall SUV's and trucks cannot see our rear lights under a top-box at ALL. I'm convinced that getting full lighting up on the trunk of any cycle can and will save lives. Now your vest takes it to a whole new level! COOL! Ride SAFE, ride ILLUMINATED... Leo Hahaha! yep, to answer your question, I've found myself wandering around the store looking like a Christmas tree! BTW, here is the listing (unfortunately ended) where I bought it. www.ebay.com/itm/120-LED-Reflective-Vest-for-runners-cyclists-dog-walkers-etc-/141037288660?nma=true&si=C64moxBmG8xplmqkQhlfqFX83FM%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

Hey Leo, at least from the pics you can't tell the back's painted. Great job! And doesn't Minnie look FIEyin? You're right about bigger wheels giving higher top speed. I stopped by my dealer for whatever reason. Two Vespisstas pulled up after me, and totally ignored me when I greeted them. While they were talking to another dealer about a Vespa for a friend, my dealer told me not to worry about their snobbiness, and besides my 200cc will hit 70 while their 200cc Vespas won't. Said my 16"ers make all the diff. And reading about you getting tossed on the fat mouse, I'm thinking I'll remain happy with my fat Piggy. Lighter isn't always better, and I've had uncomfortable drives with gusts pushing me some. Now give Minnie a nice bath, and promise her you'll never ever stray again...for now.... >'Kat Kat who cares about some snot-nosed "weekend warrior"? I've run into that nonsense too. (probably got their helmets from Gucci)

Rat-roots Leo? With the new shoes on, I'm Thinking more RAT-PACK (Almost has the Cadillac on the Vegas strip look) BTW, I was thinking when you got the new tires you might have to reassess the small wheel/big wheel idea. (quality rubber makes all the difference.)

But as always..whatever questions I post...many many read.. but I never get a reply. Makes me feel like a Non Member at an elite Golf resort...lol.. Was gonna post what I found to save folks trouble when they have this issue..but pffft.. This site is not worth my time anymore... Come on CD, don't be that way. Most of the folks here just READ stuff (it ain't like you're being singled out) So out of curiosity, just what was the electrical gremlin that gave you so much grief? (BTW, I really do like the Buffalo avatar)

I find the performance to be nearly unbelievable for a basic, carbureted, air-cooled GY6 150-class scooter! With THIS one, China could learn something from their Taiwanese cousins. Cheesh, just stick THIS engine and tranny in ANY Chinese 150 platform and you couldn't keep them on the floor! They'd sell like ice-water in that "hot-place"... LOL!
Ride safe, Leo in Texas Well Leo I can see you're VERY impressed (and rightly so) with this machine. Which brings to mind something I've been thinking for years, if the Chinese would put about 20% more in Q/C and fit they would outsell and bury the competition just the same way the Japanese did to US and British motorcycle manufacturers back in the 60's.

The China scoot was just an experiment in profitability and utility; since I had never ridden before, I wanted to try a cheap scooter. I've heard of people who just never get used to riding and I didn't want to spend a lot on a bike I might not want to keep. I expected the bike to last longer than it did, but I was definitely saving money on gas and the scooter was working very well for my needs. I definitely want a replacement, and would prefer a decent higher displacement scoot so the motor won't be working quite as hard. 5k miles of highway driving killed mine, but it was working pretty hard during those miles. I want a Yamaha Majesty or similar, but used scooters are very scarce in my area. I need to come up with something soon, I'm missing the best bike weather now. Another month and it's going to be miserably hot again... Sorry to hear of this (I'm thinking it's that crank bearing again) If you're going to pull the engine why not just replace the bearing with a OEM Honda Helix unit?
