I stripped my mirror sockets out like within a month of having my scoot for how many times I had to adjust them after they vibrated loose. Anybody else? Solution? I can't fit wrap-round mirrors anywhere as far as clamped ones go.

First thing that pops in my head would be add some like the cafe Races that mount at the end of your grips. Not sure what all would be involved in doing it.

I thought about that; had seen some on amazon but something about them didn't look right... just made the bars feel too wide. Could have just been the pics they used. I wonder if anybody sells a "quality" version of the connector/mechanism that holds the mirrors. I would have just used quite a splash of loctite on them if I had thought about it. Guh.

jb weld is my only thought. not sure how well it would work but cheaper than replacing the whole assembly.

You can switch to the larger diameter motorcycle mirrors, and use adaptors to make them fit (cycle gear carries them). This way you can JB-Weld the adaptors in place, and still have the mirrors themselves be adjustable. Just be sure you get the set with both right and left hand threads! Here's a google shopping search, you don't want the ones with the threads going all the way through, you want the female to male adaptors: 8mm to 10mm mirror adaptor studI did something similar when I purchased my rear-view-mirror-speakers. They are built for motorcycles, so they have the larger diameter studs. The adaptors from cycle gear (or other places) work perfectly.

Exactly what I would jb weld works awesome ... Also sometimes wrapping the bolt end of the mirror in aluminum foil may do the trick to get the mirror tight
