I put a performance muf on and after running open header it felt like something was missing when I rode it. So I not only cut 5 inches off of the length of the muffler (clearance issues) I also removed all of the glasspack from the internal. Now because of the open expanse of the muffler it has a nice deep thump when riding it and isn't obnoxiously loud. But it's loud enough that it gets the attention of drivers around me. Like I said loud is safe. I also kinda like the looks I get from people on the street when they hear me then see it's just this lil ol timey looking scooter making all that sound. lol

Where can one find an anti slap pulley? Recently I was doing some testing with my CVT cover off and noticed my belt slaps so hard it actually makes a clapping noise. I never noticed it with the cover on but now that I know it does this, it's just one more thing that bugs the crap out of me. I know this can't be ideal for the health of the belt and or CVT as a whole.

Whats weird is the whole not moving thing. Your CVT does not need to warm up to function and should engage as soon as the RPMs are high enough to cause the clutch to engage. Does your scoot have a tach? I ask because it's possible you just are not hitting a high enough RPM for the clutch shoes to swing out and engage...especially on a scoot this new.

I just had to replace my starter with less than 2k miles on it, When I opened it up I found that what failed was actually the thick copper wire inside the casing going to the wire on the outside. It melted in 2.

I don't know what's more impressive, the matching pink sneaks or the board shorts mixed with riding gear over NJ Northerner white legs. LMAO!!
Looking at your scoot tho, that thing is begging for some performance mods. I can just see the looks on faces when that lil thing lifts the front tire from a dead stand still. vroom vroom!!

dmartin95 Pics would be awesome. I can't seem to picture how they prevent them from touching the body. Especially on a scoot like mine that is a bit more "hippy" than most other scoots. And I won't get different bags.. I'll make different bags. LOL So design ideas are mucho appreciated!

Thanks guys, it's a labor of love and helps my wallet here and there.
I've been looking for some vintage style goggles but unless I wanna spend 100 bucks on a pair, it's darn impossible to find some made of real quality leather. Most are pleather or vinyl. I'm thinking that I may just buy a cheap $20 pair and just copy the vinyl with a leather replacement. I have some awesome lamb skin that would be great on a set of goggles..

Just finished my latest project and wanted to show it off to ya'll. I had an old beanie helmet that was in serious need of a makeover so I wrapped it in 3 ounce veg tan leather then used 12 ounce bridal leather for the base trim. So now I have a helmet that matches my seat and the saddle bags that should be done in a week or so. The stitching is done by hand and again I used solid copper rivets. The hard part was having to wet mold the leather. Without a form of some sort I had to basically hold the pieces in place until they dried enough to retain their new shape. i1287.photobucket.com/albums/a624/xyshannen1/helmet1_zps348b4f0f.jpgi1287.photobucket.com/albums/a624/xyshannen1/helmet2_zpscc6b8f03.jpgThe right side isn't a different color. Light was fading when I took these shots and even with the flash the right side is a shadow.

Ah, no that all looked ok also. It could have been stuck somehow and me playing with the floats somehow dislodged it. But nothing I can tell did anything as I couldn't look and tell what was wrong....or at least I didn't see what was wrong. Running like a banshee with a 120 main at WOT. It stumbles a bit when going from idle to WOT so either I have too much pilot jet or it's just too much carb for my motor ATM. I tried adjusting the air fuel mix screw and no luck. Wish I had multiple pilots to try but oh well. I'm going to just pull it and stick the old one back on for now. I bought this carb because I know I can make use of it sooner or later, I was just hoping I could detune it enough for it to at least halfars function for the next few weeks.
Thanks for all the help guys

I dunno. I pulled the needle and diaphragm out thrice before even making this thread..thinking that the diaphragm may not be seated right... And it still wasn't getting fuel. rcq92130 What main jet did you end up going with?
