The skirt OD is 60.54mm, the ID is 58.42mm, leaving a wall thickness of 1.06mm Hey, thanks for the contribution! "Hard Numbers" are very hard to come by I have found and is what drove me to want to do a series of videos. 1.06mm is very close to my measurement. Mine was at 1.19mm but I don't trust my calipers accuracy... It's a harbor freight tool so use my measurements as a "close, but not exact" one,.....

looks like a good kit, apart from one or 2 things. firstly the bottom of that cylinder skirt looks way too thin. from experience i know that it will surely get "wallowed out". Here's some up close shots of the skirt: Does anyone know how thick the walls of a stock GY6 skirt are?

Pretty cool stuff. I would have liked you to check the size of the valves. Can you link us to the review of he 2.5mm stroker? I would like to read that as what you are saying it says just doesn't make sense. Ok, I finally found the time to snap some shots of the valves and cylinder skirt.

Jerry, I am not familiar with this line up, nor the dealers you mention... But I can add this; You sure do have good taste in scooters! I think the bottom one is the sharpest looking....
If memory serves correct, all 16" wheel scooters comes with the B-case motor... Lots of room for future upgrades!

As to the 2.5mm stroker, I'm not sure I would call it a review. The link I'm providing is a discussion being held over at scooterdoc and Matt (fugaziiv) who I believe works at PFS was talking about drag and street builds with this same engine. This is the engine kit PFS uses in their drag stuff.... Read the whole thread, there's good stuff in their but what you're asking about is specifically in post #10. Here's the link.....

looks like a good kit, apart from one or 2 things. firstly the bottom of that cylinder skirt looks way too thin. from experience i know that it will surely get "wallowed out". secondly, when you are running any high rpm setup like that, get an oil cooler on it. it will pay off in the long run. www.facebook.com/partcooler/timelinethis company makes the best coolers in Taiwan. I can take a measurement of the skirt wall. See how thick it is... That will give me something to compare it to.... This is the first bare, GY6 cylinder I've held so I have no idea how thick a stock skirt would be... As for oil cooling, without a doubt this engine will be oil cooled. However, I will be doing all the machine work. I found this really cool article that shows and tells how to tap the crank case at the oil pump channels. Here's a linkNow, I'm not comfortable doing it the exact way this guy did... I am going to use a 4mm thick piece of aluminum and seal it to the front of the crankcase where the ports are going.... The metal is just way too thin to tap right there without some kind of reinforcement. In short: I'll add more meat!

Def' not the black, just too one-tone. And the silver seems a little too bright. So guess I fourth it for Ti. >'Kat That's funny you put it that way, I had the exact same thought. Anyhow, seeing as how it's unanimous, definitely going to go with the Titanium. Thanks gang for the feedback!

*** EDITED *** Skip to post #18 for update Hey gang, when cyber monday rolled around, a few scooter shops had sales and one of the items I've been watching for a while went on 15% sale. I purchased this kit for $340.00 USD. There are many sellers that sell this kit: partsforscootersGY6 storeDROWSportsSo, without no further adieu, lets get onto the review:

I have a stock block in my bike, with a stock intake, I was looking at Ecotrons size for the throttle bodies.....If I bore up to a 232cc, it would appear they (ecotrons) recommend I go with 34mm throttle body. I'm having a hard time finding an intake that would fit.... I've looked at HOCA's and NCY's and it doesn't appear they would accommodate a throttle body that big.... Anyone have a link to an intake that would accommodate a throttle like the one in the included picture? You did use the 28mm TB, didn't you??

Sorry if I came off as if i was promoting the guy. Just trying to help in whatever little ways i can. Apologize if i came across as preaching. ?? I have to admit, I never fully read the T.O.S agreement for this website but I don't think it's against the rules in anyway to share a deal when ya find one..... That's one of the reasons I use these scooter forums is to find good links to scooter parts. I for one appreciate when the gang around here shares deals!!! As a side note, I think this particular vendor is worth a shout out or two! They have some very nice Taida merchandise at competitive pricing. I have familiarized myself with Taida's GY6 racing parts and and even though I've only acquired a few parts thus far, every Taida part I've got my hands on so far has been very superior to Chinese quality.

1. About the sensor..... 2. The Program works on windows 7........ 3. I have the Wide band O2 Sensor and Its running great..... 4. you have to run 11 pole stator if you want it to run and be able to add the wideband. 5.when you run the ignition part of the kit they tend to kill coils, I went through 2 coils and I decided to just install a MSD coil in it with a nice wire and problem solved. let me know if you have any other questions 1. Sweet! Yes, if you could snap some shots, that would be awesome.... Not just of the O2 sensor, but anything connected to the EFI kit..... 2. Again, Sweet! I was hoping that I could tune it with a Bluetooth device on the fly, but O'well.... I am a computer technician so learning the program shouldn't be that complicated for me.... My laptop has win 7 so it's nice to know it will work with that at least..... 3. Not sure if I'm that brave to go with the wide-band... Seems a lot more complex.... 4. Why do I need the 11 pole stator? 5. Hmmmm.... The MSD coil is an interesting fix!

Hello, Sorry I have not gotten back to you I have been super busy, But I still find time to work on my scoot, Hey, thanks for the reply! I have been giving serious consideration to getting this kit..... It will at the minimum give me a chance to learn the ins and outs of an EFI.... Lately, I have been in consultation with Taida about converting one of my Bintelli Havocs into something more similar to the scooter it's cloned after (ZUMA/BWS)..... Outwardly, my scoot looks a lot like a zuma.....Inwardly, it's a different story altogether.... My havoc has your typical GY6... A zuma however has a 4 valve cylinder head and an EFI.... Where my havoc exceeds the zuma, the Havoc has front and rear disk brakes, the zuma has drum rear... The Zuma is only a 125 (but can be bored way larger) but my Havoc is a 150cc... So, my plan, is not only to match, but exceed the capabilities of the Zuma.... I will increase the cc's in between 180~232 (not sure what bore/stroke yet), 4 valve, EFI, performance exhaust, K&N filter and DDR. Pulley for the transmission. One of my havocs will wind up with with a 232cc. Anyhow, I just wanted to give you an idea of what my plans where with an efi setup in a seperate post... I going to make another post with my Q&A.

Ok, so I'm in the process changing the look of my scooter. It has a pretty cool green/white/black paint scheme as it is, but only 3 panels changes the whole scheme.... I bought some metal flake, Charcoal black panels. I also purchased some silver flames.... It was going to be the case that I was going to paint my new panels cherry red to match my chevy trailblazer....The Vinyl flames were only going to be used as mask, once painted I was going to peel the mask and have black flames.... But the Metallic silver flames look so cool on the black panels, I'm going to just go with black.... So, now unto the reason for this thread.... I bought some handgrips to go with the scheme.... But all three match pretty well and I'm conflicted.... So what do you guys and gals think?

I have bought a number of things from this "GY6 Racing" guy in Puerto Rico -- including my 60mm BBK --- and everything has always arrived (in San Diego - across the country) in 2 days. I browsed their inventory and they have a good selection at an okay price. I bookmarked them, I may just order from them in the future. Thanks for sharing the link BTW!

I thought i'd do a search to see if I could find a cheap matching regulator/rectifier.... $15.00 ShippedNow, it's from China which means it will take a minute to arrive, but the other one is from Puerto Rico so that might take a minute too... But, the two would only be $48.00 to the door! Granted, you wouldn't be getting the adapter harness, but if you're doing this on the lowest budget possible, you could just splice and dice your own wires on the cheap..... Most people have extra wire laying around or can get it free somewhere... If not, Maybe $5.00 in wire if you do not care about color coding.... Anyhow, great find!
