I'll add another thing that I dislike. Having threads on what do I need to do to this or that and never a mention of what kind, cc, engine, etc. Now how many threads do I move because folks can't put the right question in the right place even when the category says a certain size and type? JR

.adjustBackToTop { position: fixed; top: 400px; right: 8px; }
.adjusttobottom { position: fixed; top: 400px; left: 8px; }

Not good JR, it covers some of the words. Can you make them transparent that will help, better yet can you move them onto the Background Gray area that moves along as well and there they would not interfere with anything. Alleyoop J.R I'm with alley on this. Alley, i just adjusted the screen to put them out on the side (Ctrl + Mouse wheel) OR ( Ctrl + ( '+' or '-' keys). This puts them to the side, but then the type is a-bit smaller then us blind bat's can read. Has Everyone not heard of the "PAGE UP" and "PAGE DOWN" keys that are one your keyborad? [Smile] Yes I've heard of it but my fingers that have a hard enough time typing don't like extra keys. I even use the electronic mouse instead of the old ball and chain roller type mouse.
Now that they are fixed when you move up or down the page they move, at any moment you can click on either one and go back to the bottom or top.
I forgot to go to my wife's smaller computer and check the screen resolution so I adjusted them to her screen, all is good.

Been looking at some new things as always and I came up with a neat thing I saw online the other day called in HTML code lingo a radio button. Yes just like the buttons you program on the radio to listen to your favorite channel quickly. You an see the buttons and what to select on the Home page by scrolling down to the Users Online section, just choose where you want to go and hit Select.
Also they are on the quick and reply areas at the bottom of the page. Right now I'm listening to the News and typing here too. Now where is that weather channel link?
Just added the Weather Channel and the cool thing is you can put your zip code in, your area weather report will come up. If you choose to close the site out, and if you come back later your local weather city or area is listed in the top left corner for you to click on and review again. Don't have to list your zip again.

Good Morning to all. Just as the title says we have a default forum avatar. Currently it's the plain Jane blank face avatar that is provided by Proboards.
But it can be changed to a lot more pleasant looking one in just a matter of minutes. I thought and thought about what to use so instead I thought, hey! let's vote on it. All can see what I've listed including the "other" category so it won't be a problem to choose outside of the poll
Now in case you're wondering about the old Dawg logo, I'll not keep you in suspense on that one and much thanks to Leo (oldchopperguy) for digging this oldie out of the closet!
Ok all of you see the time table so let's hear from all of ya! BTW the selection of "image for the default avatar" is a vote to keep the default avatar.

I wasn't trying to be a bigger butt (cause a s s is censored) than I already am, but when the question was asked if one could post a picture directly from the hard drive and the answer was 'yes, if you post from a host ...,' when the answer is really No. I understand the bandwidth issue and agree I just dislike tap dancing around the question (I been working for the gov't for 45 years and that's all we do) I never knew my grandfather but my father taught me a lot so, I like the site, don't like pb, and gonna go in the geerage and make vroom vroom sounds Dave
Leo asked the question and if you look at my answer I answered yes to the Photobucket site and said you must have a link. Sorry for the confusion. I should have been clearer.

I don't want all my pics on a linked photobucket where it can get hacked, etc. I prefer to keep my pics of my scoot and my porn on my own hard drive Does that mean I can't post pics here? Edit (in reply to questions above) So, can I post pics directly from my hard drive? The answer would be NO, unless u use photobucket, then it isn't your hard drive. No attachments or posting from your hard drive here on this forum. PB has a limit on each forum as far as download they allow on each forum which is 200mb. The old system they allowed unlimited download and it all went to their servers and was free but no longer for the new software we have now.
When we converted to the new software the attachment limit was already at the max, what's the choice? For Doug or myself to go through every attached photo here and delete them for storage space or buy space from PB. Not a option that he or I was going to do, I donate my time to keep the forum going not going to donate money on a free forum nor and I going to spend hours looking for and deleting photos, hope all can understand that.
So if you want to post photos find a photo upload site and put them there, some are still free for so much space but just like Proboards they are quitting the free space.
My grandpa always told me there is only one thing in this world free and "that's a hard time".

Update: NEXT button by vendor banners. How many times have you been asking about or reading about a certain thing from a certain vendor or someone in a thread said go check out so-in-so which is one of the preferred vendors that are on the banner scroll and had to wait until that vendor's banner appeared before you could click on it and go to their site? Wait and Wait. Not anymore. While the banners continue to scroll as they should if you want to scroll through them fastly all you have to do now is click on the "NEXT" button at the bottom right side corner of the banner. They will scroll as fast as you can click the button. Reach your desired vendor then as in the past click on the banner and it will go to that vendors web site. JR awesome! you have no idea how frustrating it was waiting on that banner... it will certainly be helpful as more vendors advertise there. only thing missing now is a back button.
Not any more!

No matter what I do I'm not getting any notifications when one of my threads has been responded to. I have ALL the notification options turned on in my profile. I have checked my junk mail and nothing is there, however I do get notifications for private messages. Any idea what I'm doing wrong, or is that just the way this board works? Thanks. I got with PB support and they confirmed you have everything set correctly. They asked me to tell you to add this email address to your list or address book on your email.
noreply@proboards.com
Also sometimes these notifications only come once a day?
