threads that don't lead to a conclusion should be deleted imo. how many times have you tried to research a similar problem only to find the thread dies before it is solved? anyone want to take a crack at this thread? chinesescoots.forumwise.com/chinesescoots-post-58344.htmlmy scoot has a short one second bog on acceleration but it doesn't do it all the time. i thought it might be running lean but then when i pulled the plug it looks like it is running rich. would those symptoms also occur if running rich? i plan to put a smaller jet in today and see if that solves the problem.

i think i solved the problem. sure is running better anyway. went from 82 jet to 78, has better acceleration and top speed is back to normal. now if the temp will just stay at 80 degrees i will be all set.

Many times a thread is opened up and people start chiming to do this and that. Then others open up a new thread and or update some other thread and yours gets pushed down. So unless you bring it up to the front again it may get lost. I would suggest the best thing to do is if your following someones advice to update your thread and PM the one you where following the advice from. I know some guys that have done that to me and it works then I go and see what he did or did not do and or what the results were from the last suggestion and update it. I have a situation right now in the trike section and now it is buried so If I remember I go and see if he responded. Alleyoop

John lol, i doubt the OP is gonna respond that thread is from 2007. point is it was on the front page of my google search but turned out to be just another useless thread. if you gonna open a help thread then it would be helpful to update it when you solve the problem. just my 2 cents

I'll add another thing that I dislike. Having threads on what do I need to do to this or that and never a mention of what kind, cc, engine, etc. Now how many threads do I move because folks can't put the right question in the right place even when the category says a certain size and type? JR

JR atm50 with a 50mm bbk (stock exhaust and airbox) if this post was a shot at me. and my scoot still has a slight bog on acceleration. it doesn't happen very often though. i haven't pulled the plug since i went from 82 to 78 jet. i have a 75 jet, might change the jets again but it happens so infrequently that i wonder if 75 will be too lean. guess i'll do a plug chop when i have time.

My reply was as a reference as to what I don't like just and you made a statement about people not finishing a thread. I see the two as the same.
