i replaced my fuel line with 3/16" i have a gy6 150, if you go bigger like 1/4" im assuming it would be loose on the hose end when fitting it to the end of a fuel filter or what eva your connecting

<snip> i'm in south florida also and ended up going with the 118 jet and needle clamp at the top. everything else still stock except gates belt and fuel line. it was running gr8 a few weeks ago but now that the temps are a bit warmer i think it is running a tad rich. where in south FL? my new carb came with a 105 main jet but i changed it to a 108 before installing it

I have to ask, what do you expect from a Expensive Brand Carb that other carbs will not do? They all work the same way and ANY 50-100+ carb can get clogged. Run them without an Air Filter and the Air passages can get clogged, run them without a good Fuel Filter and tiny particles from the tank and or inside the hoses can clog the jets and its fuel passages. Alleyoop Kind of surprised you would say that, this being a mechanic type of forum. in a simple answer: quality, im looking for quality cause we all know the stock carbs from china arent that good

Walterwhite,
Welcome to the site!My old '07 Xingyue 150 had a factory carb that never was right. I replaced it the second year. That was over 5 years ago, but GY6 parts seem to go on forever... I found a direct-replacement Japanese MIKUNI carb on eBay for under $50. It worked perfectly for 6 years. I think you just need to search the net, and there should also be more members here with CURRENT experience who will chime in here. Best wishes for sure!Leo in Texas thanks, hey where did you get that angry panda image, it would be a kool sticker
