I've seen some debate about 3/16 vs. 1/4 inch lines for fuel and vacuum. Curious what you prefer for gy6 engines. And do they change as you go up in ccs? 1/4 seems a bit fat for mine.

at the time I replaced the ones on my scooter , I was only able to get 1/4" . Now that I have been servicing for others I bought 3/16" and use that . The outer diameter is larger than stock hose .

i replaced my fuel line with 3/16" i have a gy6 150, if you go bigger like 1/4" im assuming it would be loose on the hose end when fitting it to the end of a fuel filter or what eva your connecting

Yes they are not as snug as it should be . I used clamps . No leaks .

I just ordered some Helix 3/16. John, was the 1/4 a larger interior diameter and could that offer some benefit, do you think, say for air flow?
