In the Dallas area you can get a NEW 2014 model 50 CC Chinese scoot for $599.00 or less and a 150 CC for $799.00
Anything you spent on upgrades, is mostly water under the bridge. Like if you spent $1200 on a car to repair the transmission and the car is basically worth $1000. You will not get your $1200 back.
I don't see the friend part being a big part of the pricing. IMHO your scoot is worth no more than $300.00 and no less than $250.00

I normally wear.
1. A Helmet 2. Tinted Safety Glasses [Yellow at night/tan during daylight] 3. Gloves 4. Leather shoes 5. Jacket ( if temp below 50*F ) Increasing layers of clothing/jackets if colder 6. *Try to always wear a long sleeve shirt

I ride to work and to shop often as my wife and I only have one car and one scooter. I am the only scooter driver. I park in auto parking spots, in bike racks. Any place that is handy. I live in the Dallas Texas area.
