Great deal. That shop is totally incompetent, or else they wanted to charge that guy for a new engine. The Vino switched to a 4 stroke in '06. I much preferred the 2 stroke. I've always loved 2 strokes. How many miles on it? I wonder what caused the belt to break? I had a broken belt on my Vino 125 at only 4000 miles, and while looking into it, discovered that a lot of people have had broken belts on Yamaha scooters. it has 16000 miles on it yep a lot of broken belts on yamahas because people buy them and ride them they think they are completely maintenance free so they never check anything yes the 2 stroke vino had the good old minarelli E40 engine they ran forever and a lot more can be done with them but if someones looking for reliable quiet transportation around a city or island this 4 stroke vino would be great

In Florida 50ccs are limited to a top speed of some where between 30-35. I can't recall the exact mph limit. If you're caught going faster they can ticket you if you don't have insurance and a motorcycle endorsment. not according to the dmv here mopeds and 50cc scooters have no restriction for speed but cant go on the interstate and no insurance required for and motorcycle or scooter like my scoot is registered i n NH cause its only $7 and i dont have a title and lost my vin tag well lost the plastic piece it was attached to so reg as a tgb 202

Yea I think the switched to the 4 stoke in 07 or 08. Nice little scooter either way. its an 05 and 4 stroke carburetored not EFI which is a good thing i through a gy6 50 belt just to try it and man does it run great goes like 30 but the gy6 belt is a bit too long also seems like the cdi box is rev limited i doubt its restricted cause in fl a 50cc scooter can go the speed limit of the road but its hard to play with it from this hospital room

i used to ride my riva 125 on i95 i93 i495 at 70mph i have ridden it from where i lived north of boston to brooklyn ny all interstate riding its no problem here in FL i ride my 250 with NH moped tag on i95 and fl tpk all the time and last time i actually got stopped for speeding the limit is 70 i was doing close to but the cop couldnt figure out how to write up a ticket for a scooter registered in nh with moped tag so he just let me go what made me laugh is the fact that my tag says moped he didnt put 2 and 2 together mopeds are not supposed to be on the highway never mind going about also fl moped law says it must have pedals cops aint very bright around here

funny he mentions hyosung which is korean not chinese
some chinese bikes will last i have the cheapest crapiest chinese scooter ever made a qingqi qm50 from 2002 it cost less in 2002 and a puch moped cost in 1978 its now 12 years old has around 20,000 miles on it and still runs great
but hes definitely right about that for every one good running chinese bike theres a thousand of the same bike that wont even start when brand new
my friends shop used to sell sunny and peace sports brands they were horrible we had one that wouldnt start brand new 0 miles so i took it apart and found the key slot in the crank was in the wrong spot so the timing was way off another one ran for 11 miles broke down and never ran again
all the scoots made by QJ (vento andretti benelli keeway strada etc) are very well made cause QJ makes engines and parts for a lot of big companies so unlike most chinese factories that actually have quality control
im wondering if the guy in the video lumps the taiwanese scoots in with the chinese ones cause theres a huge difference between them kymco pgo tgb sym eton are all top quality bikes
i never buy anything new i only get whats in junk piles or cheap on cl cause a simple part broke and they dont know how to fix it like i have a zongshen 200cc dual sport bought it for $80 the charging system is fried so i just charge the battery when not riding it handles like a bicycle with no tires vibrates real bad its hard to shift but its as reliable as a doorknob

Ouch. Good advice. I went for a ride many years ago with out my jacket and left a nipple on the road that day. I wear full gear always now everyday every ride. Sucks you had to experience that hopefully your story keeps someone else from a similar experience. Sucks about the bike though too did you get an opportunity to speak with the truck driver? BTW I know you're wondering yes my nipple grew back but it is way too sensitive now... isnt losing your nipple so much fun i did it on a gravel road once
