Ok brother,, I will check when the scoot arrives,,also will take some pics of things so you can point me in the right direction for exhaust. Now go drink some beer and eat burgers!! Tom Jerseyboy: I noticed in your signature you're using Shell Rotella "Synthetic" oil. Shell Rotella is not synthetic, it's mineral oil. You should change that.

[replyingto=devo344a]devo344a[/replyingto]I disagree. I find that BatteryStuff.com has the excellent (& inexpensive) Scorpion batteries. These are sealed AGM batteries for short coin! If you keep them on a float charge all of the time, they can last 5+ years! Good Luck. www.batterystuff.com/all-products-by-brand/scorpion/

Honda's are very reliable.. I liked the Kymco Downtown 300i but now my favorite scooter is the Honda Forza 300.. The Forza goes 86 mph+ verses the Kymco at mph.. I feel Honda is a better over all scooter, made by Japan than the Kymco made by South Korea. Honda has there 300 listed at $5600 and Kymco at $5700. Honda engine size is 279cc verses Kymco at 299cc. Both liquid cooled. But again, the 2014 Honda Forza is listed on the Honda websites. Scooter12: Kymco's aren't made in South Korea, most higher-end models are made in Taiwan. Also...I not sure where the Honda Forza is made, but I bet it's not Japan. Most likely...Thailand. Honda's a great, but Kymco's QC is also top-notch.

Just keep in mind the TGB is no longer imported to the USA anymore. Perirspeed/Cobra Sales had a argument over pricing & that TGB kept saying they were going to create their own dealer network. TGB is a solid scooter, no doubt. One thing I always disliked about them is their cheap looking speedo cluster. You can still find parts just the same. I owned a TGB Key West (Zuma knock-off 50cc 2T) & had it derestricted & it would cruise @ 45MPH all day long on a flat surface. www.peirspeed.com/keywest.htm

You know I asked this same question about a year ago & had a boxing match with Carasdad about this. Not all Chinese scooters are made the same! I understand this now. My Kymco Super 8 150cc is made in China & I love it! Also...I'm going to pull the rigger on a Bintelli (Znen-made) Havoc 150cc here in August: www.bintelli.com/150cc/havoc-150ccYes...Carasdad...Rejoice! I'm semi-converted! The Bintelli line-up has simply too much to offer for the asking price! Most (not all i.e. Tao-Tao) are getting better each year. Yes...Taiwanese scooters are better built, but use many Chinese made parts, so....it's how well the QC is in China. So many scooter manufactures are made in China/Thailand today. It's up to the company that makes them (Piaggio, SYM, Kymco, Honda. Yamaha etc.) What I like about Bintelli is they have a full-time employee @ the Znen factory to make sure their product is top-notch!

Red is "always" faster! My favorite color in the whole-wide world! I own a 2009 VW Jetta TDI in "Salsa Red" Love it! Not to mention the 45+MPG I get on the highway.

Carasdad: You rock brother! Ok...I'll let my current AGM live it's life & I'll be looking for an lithium down the road. I purchased my GTI300 last August & I plan on keeping her for a long time! There is no need to go beyond a 300cc scooter @ 29HP for my type of cruising. I'm a serious ocean boater 1st in the summer, then scoots has my attention (We live in New England with a short summer)
You're are correct! Lithium batteries have come down in price bigtime!

JeepSteve92X: I owned a Suzuki TU-250X. I bought it the 1st year it came out & the retail price was $3499.00, now it's $4399.00! It's so "not worth it" I bought it based on looks, sold my Kymco People S200 scooter in-trade to the dealer. The fun wore-off within 2 years. It only has 19.3HP, but it is fuel-injected which was nice. I sold it last year & scored a Kymco GTi300 (29HP) & I'm happy now. I never cared for the "retro" look myself. I think because I like the sporty look & love 16" rims! This 10" tires are too "cute" for my liking. Plus...I don't like how they ride over 45MPH. Kymco makes a fairly decent (that's affordable) Like 200i for $2699.00 I appreciate the larger 12" rims & it doesn't have a lot of cheap chrome here: www.kymcousa.com/showroom/scooters/like200i/specifications.htmlIt's FI with dual disc brakes & a solid 2-year warranty. If I was going to buy a 10" rim Retro scooter then I would consider the Bintelli "Vibe" (Znen-built) with many upgrades. Plus a "real" 2-year warranty & 1-year roadside assistance. Not my cup of tea looks wise...but I like the company. www.bintelli.com/150cc/vibe-150cc

Carasdad: I'm not saying that lithium batteries are not great, they are. Just that they are expensive! rtsecino can score a sealed AGM Scorpion battery (YT4L-BS) for $35.00 with free shipping (if he lives in the lower 48 states) here: www.batterystuff.com/powersports-batteries/sYT4L-BS.htmlExcellent battery & if he keeps it on a float charge it should last him @ least 4+ years, if not more. Just saying that all decent scooters come with an AGM battery (Kymco, SYM, Genuine etc.) & they have become standard now. I'm not sure...but what would a lithium battery cost? $150.00? Rtsecino: You can score a 4Ah here for $39.00: www.batterystuff.com/powersports-batteries/sytz5s.htmlGood Luck!

...the guy selling said it was a 50! It looks exactly like the 50cc version of the Agility, and it doesn't say 125 on it. I found out on the test ride when I gunned the throttle and just about popped a wheelie! Then I looked at the speedometer and it went up pretty high. When I got back I commented to the guy, "Gee, that's pretty fast for a 50cc". He said "Oh, yeah. Just tell the cops its a 50cc". It's a nice bike, but I don't want to deal with someone who is that dishonest. Plus the dude was drunk, cussing up a storm and using openly racist remarks, apparently not realizing that I'm not white! I think I'll pass! A real easy way to tell is if the seat has a flip-up backrest on the 50cc's If it has a one-piece seat, then it's the 125cc. Aside from the guy being a jerk...I would have bought it on the spot (if the scoot was in decent shape) www.kymcousa.com/showroom/scooters/agility50/index.htmlwww.kymcousa.com/showroom/scooters/agility125/index.html
