Oh, and I only drink 1 energy drink a day, usually in the morning like a cup of coffee. One too many. Talk to a docter. I had two on the day and ended up on a drip. I would only have on the odd occasion, but I was advised to stay off anything like that. Poison, they say.

Aspartame is no joke. I'd avoid Sugar-Free anything. Agree - Sucralose sweetener doesn't have the unfounded, but possibly dangerous aspartume. Apparently Coke Zero has one with the aspartume in and one has Splenda, or sucralose in. BUT THAT"S ANOTHER STORY. ;D

That's what I'm saying. Same concept, but the IV Drip Bag is cheaper. Disposable.

gas smell

[replyingto=teskow]teskow[/replyingto]If you are smelling a strong fuel smell, besides exhaust fumes, there has to be a leak or breathing of fuel. I had a heavier fuel consumption, and also had a strong fuel smell when I filled the scooter. Firstly, it is not good to fill a scooter up to the brim as it could result in fuel leaking into your oil due to either the overflow or return on some scooters. Smell your engine oil. Secondly, we found that the screws for the fuel tank float were loose but only leaked when the scooter was being revved. This was found by accident, as the fuel tank got a little wet when the scooter was revved. Check that the fuel cap is secure, fuel lines are not brittle, and if you open the tank after that hot, long drive, does it release pressure if you open the cap?

Quit drinking that stuff. It's no good for you. drink water or juice. ;D AGREED!! I ended up in hospital on a drip because of energy drinks. Pushed my blood sugar to over 20. Rather chew (sugar-free) gum, as the chewing motion keeps the eyes open. Hopefully you plan to drink off the scooter, but if you want to drink while riding, get an empty IV/drip bag so that you just put the pipe in your mouth. Store it under the seat, bag hook or in a rucksack.

[replyingto=salracer]sailracer[/replyingto]Engineers don't necessarily know it all, especially 'old school engineers. In my experience, most engineers experience is gained behind a desk, and are not capable of using a spanner. There are also better ways of giving your opinion without belittling others, but they don't teach that in engineer school. PETROLEUM is the suggested oil, but there is nothing wrong with using a synthetic 75w90, which in mine and other engineers opinion will do a better job. I agree that I have not seen metal flakes in oil with normal wear and tear, but have experienced it and seen it where there has been abuse, bad workmanship or a faulty part. I have stripped the gears off a cluster gear on numerous occasions while racing, and no quality of oil could of prevented it.

[replyingto=redroush00]redroush00[/replyingto]From new my Jonway/Gomoto C5 also has a slight vibration at around 70km/h, which I believe can be resolved by having the clutch bell skimmed.

I suggest that the gear oil gets replaced with a synthetic gearbox oil, which would not have to be replaced for a few thousand km's. Engine oil can also be replaced with a semi/full synthetic oil at about 3000km's, and changed when the book says so. I will change around every 2000km's. Sooner than that is a waste of expensive oil. I heard that some Chinese scooters should not run on Semi/full synthetic, but that does not make sense. Also, don't use synthetic with a wet clutch bike, unless the manufacturer recommends it. I also suggest that the anti freeze be changed immediately from the el cheapo Chinese product to a better quality anti freeze.

A bus on a scooter? Weird heading. But yes, I watched the clip and that was crazy, then her husband shoots through unsighted as well. An accident waiting to happen. They shouldn't be riding. That is something you see in Asia.
