for past week i was experiencing very strange vibration when going 40MPH+. besides the vibration it felt like something is pulling me back. yesterday i've decided to check my CVT. even though my belt visually checks fine and it's only 2K miles on it i replaced it. vibration is gone. what i found - belt was stretched and on high RPM's it was touching inside of the CVT cover. i'm so relieved, cause i thought it would be engine issue.

My brand new scoot came with a Bando and it vibrates a bit.

it wasn't a bit. it was really bad. lucky me i had a new spare belt. it vibrates a little, but not touching inside of the CVT cover.

[replyingto=redroush00]redroush00[/replyingto]From new my Jonway/Gomoto C5 also has a slight vibration at around 70km/h, which I believe can be resolved by having the clutch bell skimmed.

My ATM also had a vibration going over 40MPH. I think it's a belt oscillation with the engine vibrations, and nothing to worry about, as long as the belt isn't dragging anywhere.
A new belt, bando, can be stiffer, and have a higher oscillation frequency. You might still have the same issue with the Bando, only at higher speeds (but perhaps not as high as your scoot can go).

The pulling you back is from when the belt starts to wrap around the front pully during acceleration and rear pully on decceleration and for a moment it starts to jamb up.
Verify that the filter on the CVT cooling inlet is clean as lack of airflow can cause the heat generated by a new belt to self destruct it.
