Either way it needs replaced, the rubber is pretty cracked and the threads on the left side somehow got jacked up. Lost the cap obviously. Note the pin location, it won't pop back out. The head of the pin looks okay in person-- not deformed. Probably a spring problem? Probably all corroded in there from sitting since about Oct of 2013. Importance of caps on these I would say.

It appears both, front tire and rear tire, stem "innerds" are located in the exact same spot--- except the pin position.
The pin is pushed so far in I can't touch in with my pinky. It's as if it's too far in and stuck past/in the hole that it normally protrudes through. Not sure if the tip of the pin is smashed, making it not easily come through the hole, or something broke or jammed.
That's why I tried working the teeny bit of the pin I can actually touch with a nail, hoping it would release. I may try a sewing needle for kicks. I don't think I have a valve tool in my garage, but I thought I saw one that's not mine to be honest. There is so much crap in my garage-- it's more of a storage, lol.
If I find that tool, I'll even unscrew it to see what's up.
I understand it's just a valve stem and that I have a couple stems coming in the mail, but I'm still somewhat determined to work with what I have, until then. It's late and I'm bored, and have been working my butt off for the last month at work.

Hey thanks for the reply--- that's what I did. I ordered a few backup headlight bulbs and a spare throttle cable (both are nice to have on hand), and while I was at it...threw a couple tire valves in the cart. It should all be here Wed-Thurs, so that's not bad.
I shouldn't have a problem getting them in.

Are these universal with car valve stems? I mean does Autozone have valve stems that would work for my rear tire? My valve stem is stuck open, letting all air that is put in, out. I thought about ordering online from "wherever", but if Autozone (or other popular stores) would have one that would work on my scooter tire, I'll go there tomorrow.
Also, my tire is tubeless, is putting a clamp on the tire to squeeze it together...giving you enough room to replace the stem, the best way to go without taking the tire off the rim?
Thanks for any help guys/gals.
EDIT: I tried using a nail to push the valve to get it to pop back out but it hasn't.

I overlooked the new stator on the new engine. It turned out that the stator didn't have the ground wire in the mating connector. I put my old stator on for now, and it works fine now (at least I think nothing is damaged anyway-- besides the lights that I replaced)
EDIT: I haven't taken it for a spin yet because my rear tire's valve stem is stuck open or broken! Lol, one thing after another.

Actually after doing some reading, I don't think it's the black/red wire-- that doesnt effect the lights , right. It goes to the cdi? I better check the other wires after work.

Just started my new engine about an hour ago (it's about 4:35 AM), and everything seemed fine until I gave it a few revs. My main headlights seemed dim, but the other light ( I can't think of the proper name it's late--- it stays the same brightness) got SUPER bright-- unusually bright, that is. Scooter seemed to run fine.
I shut the engine off for a sec, and put the key to the "on" position, and pressed my light switch to activate the bright "passing lights". They worked. I wasn't sure what was going on, started it back up and revved it and the same thing happened-- except I'm sure I blew my main headlights. They won't turn on at all, and won't activate when pressing my light switch down for passing mode.
I've got a gut feeling it's something with the black/red wire from the stator, possibly.
I redid the connectors for the black/red wire-- both male and female, awhile back (worked fine). I had to redo it again this time, because the stator on the new engine came with the bullet connectors for the black/red wire-- as usual. The ones I redid it with aren't the bullet style.
Well the only male/female connectors I had left I used--- they aren't covered like how the bullet connectors are (nor the connectors I used when I redid it "awhile back")--- I wrapped the bare metal where the 2 connectors mated, with electrical tape to keep it safe. Did I do something wrong by doing that? I'm tempted to go back to wally and get the other connectors that I know worked and see if that changes anything before I do anything else. They were covered anyway, and I didn't have to wrap the bare metal in electrical tape.
I know it could possibly be the regulator/rectifier-- I don't have a spare. I do have a spare cdi if it comes to that.
Wish me luck because I'm no electrician by any means, as you can probably tell!!!

Stripped the bottom right 8mm bolt head on my CVT cover, on my new engine (that I haven't even started). Time for a new 8mm socket I would say. I think it'll come off with a 8mm wrench, just gotta go get one.
Gotta swap out the longer rear tire shaft with my older, shorter one....tomorrow. A tad frustrated because the pic of the engine on the website has the short one installed-- and is even measured in the pic!! Oh well easy job, well if you can get the CVT cover off that is. LOL!

I believe you should use something to help seal the cases. It beats having a leak. Since these engines aren't manufactured flawlessly, it's well worth it, IMO.
Will the gaskets work alone? Maybe, but I'll never take that chance.

Woodruff key the culprit?
I'm pretty sure I read about a woodruff key being the cause of someones shaft being sheared off, somehow.

I hear what seems to be a metallic sound in the background (metal on metal) throughout the video, and it seems louder the closer the camera is to the variator. Not saying it is the variator, just that the noise is noticeably louder in the video at that time--- specifically around 2-3 seconds into the video.

You should live up to your name and get the Pepe Le Pew fragrance and drive around in a skunk suit. But if do drive like around like a banana, just be careful, things could get a bit "slippery"!

I'm not big on IE, but overall it seems a lot better on Windows 8 or 8.1, than it has in the past. It actually runs HD video much better than both Firefox and Chrome, on my laptop with Windows 8.1. The annoying popup at the bottom of the screen every time IE opens asking if you want to disable add-ons to speed up the browser, can be avoided easily.
I normally use chrome because that's what I've been using for the last few years. I like Firefox, too. I've had issues with both Firefox and Chrome--- flashplayer crashing. I can't say I've ever had that with IE.
Only used Opera once, so not enough to even see what it's about. I use safari on my phone all the time.
I rarely use any of the add-ons all the web browsers offer.
