I personally like the trunk look, adds size to the scoot, especially the 50s.

I think they just do it, just to make things more confusing, if nothing else. ALOHAz

I know it's taboo, but is it possible to get away with reusing rings ?? If done before break in period ??

This is a good augmentation but check the lumens before substituting one for the other. I was looking at these types of bulbs recently and what I found is that they put out around 300 lumens, whereas my 45w incandescents (which still aren't bright enough for me) put out about 840 each. There's a recent thread here about someone who put these in and I asked him the question of whether he was supplementing the lights or replacing them. i did not see a reply at the time. I want to try led headlights cause the power drain is low, but also want the option of a hi/lo beam. If they don't exist, I might as well just stick with my xenon bulb

I'd be happy if they'd use better quality materials in general, but with that comes price. If that's the case, I might as well buy a better quality scoot. Gosh !! I just answered myself...

Actually most (all?) carbureted vehicles require tuning as the seasons change. You usually need to increase the idle speed and slightly richen the air/fuel mixture since there is more air available in cold temps than in hotter temps. You will likely see a slight decrease in fuel economy. The adjustments are normal and listed as maintenance or seasonal changes in most Owner's Manuals. So you adjust towards richer in cold, and leaner in hot weather ??

As far as how often, they need to be adjusted. I usually check my valves first, when my scoot has a hard time starting, and idling.

You gotta understand I don't know you, and it's sometimes hard to tell on the computer who's joking, and who's not. Anyways if it's cool it's cool. I was just trying to figure out why the heck they make it in 2 different lengths. ALOHA Gee I saw the joke. Your original post asked if there was a performance difference. You were answered no. You did not ask why there was two different lenghts. That answer is manufacturer design difference. They also use different rocker arm assemblies and are not interchangable. OK, Well I'm just being honest I didn't, but like I said if it's cool than it's cool !!! Got my answer from millsc too. I figured if it wasn't performance, than might be like you said, design. Alohaz

I have yet to change my pilot from stock. The original one has always worked well with my 47mm & 50mm kits.

In my sig. you can see I almost exclusively buy Naraku performance or raceing parts . They cost more but there the same parts used in top performance scoots and motorcycles around the world . From what I have seen and heard from some of my scooter friends up here they swear by them . Not that others aren't good but if you want top of the line and build quality to match with a raceing heratage to back it i would say go with them . Then it's done I'm gonna try it !!
