a few tools and a two piece rain suit are always under my seat. On a longer ride I'll have a liter bottle with some spare gas 750ml maybe. Often water. a Have a bungee net, and a couple cinch straps if I need to carry anything - I had my knapsack and heavy jacket cinched on while I rode with my lighter jacket at Amerivespa last year. I've carried groceries that way too. Bungees help locate items, but the cinch straps keep stuff from moving.
@ terrilee - You must be on pretty longs rides to need Depends. ;D

Hi That really sucks about getting hit, at all, let alone loosing body parts.
I know two guys who each lost a leg at the knee, each hit by drunk drivers while they were riding motorcycles.
Both have prosthetic and still ride today. One was helping me load a trailer with hay, and I found out later or the next day that he had half a leg. The other guy is here at work, and I only see him around occasionally. He has a slight limp but it is hart to guess which is which.

www.ebay.com/itm/280605987522?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649I have been using these, they dont seem like much but they do help. Just be sure to look through the ads to see if they have both sides that match your scooter, forward thread reverse thread, 8mm, 10mm. Mine is 8mm with one reverse thread. I bent one when I went down back in August and I had a machine shop guy at work straighten it - even with heat he was afraid to go 100% straight, so when I get the scooter out, one thing I'll be doing is swapping the extender to the right side so the tilt isn't an issue.

I have been on 55mph roads where I was just holding low 50s at WOT, and I did hug the right line when people needed to pass me, then right back to the just left of center. When I pass a bike (in the cage), I move pretty much 100% into the other lane. Never close.

Ive been up to 66mph (GPS) on the Xingyue, down a large hill with a strong tail wind, and around 8500rpm. I wonder how far I can crank it. Haven't had the Znen much over 50mph.

Riding the same roads, I prefer the 16". As for cross wind, I havent ridden the 13" wheel Znen in high winds, just normal wind. Neither has a windshield but the Xingyue probably has a larger front. In high winds and semi-truck/trail oncoming wash, no problem on the Xingyue. Not really a problem on the Znen, but I think the Xingyue feels better. Taller rims and tires = fewer tire revs per mile. my 13" tires arent all ballooney either, I wouldnt mind fatter tires on both the 13" and 16" wheels.

In my case, WI roads are bad, and even avoiding harshest potholes/ bumps, medium ones are wicked enough with the huge tires on the van, rough on 16" wheels. I have a 13" wheel scooter too and the same roads are worse on it than the 16". And I'm riding 45mph roads, so I tend to be around 50mph all the time. Wind and traffic are better on the bigger wheeled bike.
