Well now! I'm sure it is just this crap phone. Again today, I turned on the GPS and opened the MyTracks app before I even stepped outside and geared up. I started the Znen, geared up except for the second glove, hit the START RECORDING button on the app, stuck the phone in my pocket, locked the phone, gloved the hand, hit the road...
On the road I saw 8200RPM max. The speedo showed over 65MPH. Then traffic slowed me down. I got to work. Unpocketed the phone, ungloved, unlocked the phone, And the app said "waiting for GPS signal".
Son of a bummer! No data. Well, nearly no data. Total Time is shown as 11:23. From when I hit start until I hit stop. This phone is not good for much. Samsung Intercept. Android 2.2.1. No on board space to speak of for anything. Plenty of microSD @ 32GB. Tonight I'll have to verify the GPS is working before I hit the road.

Scooters, motorcycles, bicycles, crazy rides. Lots of people. Venders or parts and food and rides. It is a pretty cool free two wheeler event.

yea, it does rattle a little bit. I might pull it off and add a touch of grease to the pins it slides on.

I have several crystals already, so repair is easy. I ordered Watch Crystal Flat Round Standard Mineral Glass Crystal, 1 mm Thick, MM Size: 16.1mm, 201100 4 @ $0. = $3.52. On July 25, 2011. Had to order a couple other items to make a $20 minimum. Looks like no minimum now. If I were ordering more, I might go up to the 1.5 or 2mm but the price goes up exponentially.

Nothing is permanent. May need a little heat to help get it loose, but I've never had a problem with blue or red.
Green is nearly permanent. Lots of heat and some leverage required.

Apparently during all the stuff I did on the Znen over the weekend, I missed tightening the rear caliper bolts, and lost both on my ride home Monday. Then I lost the mounting plate that the caliper slides on. Luckily I drove back and found it just out of the traffic in that lane. Not damaged, and no one with a flat tire anywhere nearby! I acquired new bolts and lock washers, and began the reassemble the pieces. Of course I had squeezed the brake lever so the pads were together and the pistons needed to pressed in. Here is the tip. Remove the master cylinder cover before pressing in the pistons! I did not, and blew out the sight "glass" lens. Luckily, when I repaired the crumbled sight glass on the Xingyue, I ordered a few extra 16mm watch crystals. Cleaned out the rest of the broken plastic, brake cleaner and paper towel just in the lens area, black RTV, new crystal, a little more RTV. It will have 20+ hours of cure time by the time I get to it tonight to bleed the line. The same repair on the Xingyue is still holding after 2+ years. The caliper is secure with new bolts, lock washers and red Loctite, since I don't seem to have any blue laying around.

For whatever reason, the MyTracks app only recorded the last bit from when I turned into the driveway until I parked. I saw a high of 7900 RPM and the speedo actually hit 65mph. I don't think I've seen over 60mph on the speedometer before. But with no MyTrack record, I'm not sure my actual top speed this morning.
original rollers were 17gm, I ran the 10gm sliders for a while, and now running 12gm. Maybe I'll do 10/12 mix next weekend.

A few weeks ago My exhaust broke and then the upper ear on the right die of the motor broke out - the ear where the top of the swing arm and upper muffler bracket used to mount. Muffler, no biggie. Swing arm... a little mote important.
I spent one weekend building up layers of JB weld epoxy, grinding the face where the swing arm sits, drilling and tapping the threads. That worked for a while, but on Friday I discovered a chunk of the JB weld was missing.
Time for the next attempt... So I tried to aluminum braze / fill in the broken bit, that didn't work, I took the motor all the way out and brazed it right side up = much easier and it worked. adjusted the valves, cleaned the surfaces and put on new RTV, checked the spark plug, pretty clean, mostly white, gapped at about 0.032, Installed the new variator "Teflon coated" and a NCY variator plate, with 12gram sliders, cleaned and repaired the plastic shrouds (super-glued the brittle bits back together!), installed a pod air filter on a radiator hose and PVC conduit. extension, drilled out an old 102 jet to 118, installed the 118 jet, Also changed the #32 to a #38, reinstalled the engine, cut and installed a new exhaust gasket, fired it up and adjusted the idle to 1700, went for a 2.8 mile test ride, RPMs are low but I did hit 52mph at only 7900 rpm.
How's that for a run on sentence!?!? Thunderstorm rolling in, couldn't stay out and play.

Charge the battery - low amps, or a jump from a car, motor off. My Znen wont turn over if the kill switch is in the off position. On the Xingyue, it will crank but wont fire if the kill is set to off.
