So after hours of searching the whole internets for a speedo puck that was less than $25 and having no luck, I finally decided to resort to Amazon. And what do you know; they have it. For $4 no less! Even if it's the wrong size it won't even matter because I only paid $8 total. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CBA94R2/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Now I recently found out my speedometer has been off by like 10% this whole time, and it's apparently a common issue... Will a new speedo puck resolve that? Or will I expect even worse results because I went cheap? When my speedometer said I was going 50mph I was going 43mph, when it said I was going 40 I was going 37, etc. According to gps anyway... Solved; all speedos are incorrect

[replyingto=doublert]doublert[/replyingto]I've got a peace sports 50, so I'm not sure what jets you would have stock, I believe somewhere between 105-110, but I have no idea. Going with heavier weights will typically give you a higher topend, but in some cases it actually reduces acceleration to the point of reducing the topend which is why most go in increments of 2g at a time. I would highly recommend buying a weight tuning kit to play with so you can find your perfect weight. Hank recommended that to me, but instead I ended up paying $60 on sliders just to get a weight that was satisfactory for me. If your bottom end is great then it sounds like you can easily sacrifice some of it for your top end, so going with 15 or 17g weights should increase your topend. www.scooterworks.com/prima-roller-weight-tuning-kit--6g-to-17g--18x14-products-1936.php#.UaKL801jjcc

dr. pulley slider weights offer higher speed in general, but otherwise yes you would typically go heavier for a higher topend, but this is typically done in increments of 2g at a time unless you're absolutely sure what size weights to get. Also, go 1g higher than roller weight for sliders.

The box that came with my scoot was already busted up from the previous owner, so I just strap stuff straight on to the rack with a bungie cord. My record so far is one gallon of milk, three bags of groceries, and three twelve packs of cocacola.

Holy crap! The cheapest new scooters around these parts are at least an hour away and they cost upwards of $750, even on a memorial day sale! If it weren't for the fact that I traded a $400 laptop and a $200 tablet to get my Peace Sports 50 in the first place I would have lost all hope by now. There just has to be someone on craigslist willing to trade for either an extremely rare goped/scooter hybrid, or a kickass surround sound system. The subwoofer is worth $200, each speaker cost over $50, and the stereo system itself cost $250 + shipping. I'm really surprised nobody wants it.

[replyingto=dragonsparks]dragonsparks[/replyingto]Jesus tacos! The lowest priced scooter I found was $100 and it lasted only 10 minutes here in chicago land. I need to visit where you live, Dave!

Gloom, despair, and agony on me... If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all.

[replyingto=hank]hank[/replyingto]Dave, You're sort of right, but what about pricing this junk? You don't count, Hank. Your scooters are all high-end elitist scoots. (by that I mean my own body weight in gold probably couldn't buy your scoots) Besides, these are the cheapos I've been trying to get at... chicago.craigslist.org/chc/mcy/3830301958.htmlchicago.craigslist.org/wcl/mcy/3829153552.htmlchicago.craigslist.org/chc/bik/3828872534.htmlI've got other stuff I've been trying to trade too, like my brand new rooted and hacked Google Nexus 7, my $1100 gaming pc with six cores, my xbox 360, and just about everything I own to get my hands on another 50cc to mod or a 150cc so I can finally go on main roads. woe is me, nobody likes to trade...

There have been a vast number of great deals on craigslist; from cheap chinese scooters selling for only $100 to 2000s Vespa scooters selling for only $900, and here I am strapped for cash. But I have things to trade which nobody seems interested in... What do you think the following items are worth? I got a 1990 Honda Zook 2t scooter which is missing its plastics and the electronics and speedo don't work, everything else on it works and it runs though. I also have a 2000s DiBlasi foldable scooter with a brand new engine. Then I have an Onkyo RC-360 surround sound receiver with matching speakers still in its box. Wouldn't you be more than happy to give up your precious scooter for this junk?

Castrol GTX 10w30, for a Peace Sports 50. It was seemingly me who did the first oil change at 1400 miles, now that the thing is over 2.2k miles in I'm about ready to switch to full synthetic.
