I have the 26mm carb bought off ebay, and was wondering what size the main jet is in it? Maybe someone here might know? Also 2nd question: If I want higher speeds, do I use heavier weights such as 15gr or 17gr? I have the stock weights in it now which I believe are 13 or 14gr? The make and model are in my sig. below.
Thanks to everyone!!

dr. pulley slider weights offer higher speed in general, but otherwise yes you would typically go heavier for a higher topend, but this is typically done in increments of 2g at a time unless you're absolutely sure what size weights to get. Also, go 1g higher than roller weight for sliders.

Do you know anything about what size main jet would be in my 26mm carb? thanks,

[replyingto=doublert]doublert[/replyingto]I've got a peace sports 50, so I'm not sure what jets you would have stock, I believe somewhere between 105-110, but I have no idea. Going with heavier weights will typically give you a higher topend, but in some cases it actually reduces acceleration to the point of reducing the topend which is why most go in increments of 2g at a time. I would highly recommend buying a weight tuning kit to play with so you can find your perfect weight. Hank recommended that to me, but instead I ended up paying $60 on sliders just to get a weight that was satisfactory for me. If your bottom end is great then it sounds like you can easily sacrifice some of it for your top end, so going with 15 or 17g weights should increase your topend. www.scooterworks.com/prima-roller-weight-tuning-kit--6g-to-17g--18x14-products-1936.php#.UaKL801jjcc

I assume your scoot is a 150cc and from the weights that you already have in there heavier weights will not get you more top end. To see how high belt is climbing up the variator with your current setup mark the Variator and see how high the belt is climbing. Don't forget the heavier you go for every gram higher YOU WILL LOOSE 500-600 rpm. So you have to match the weights with the best top end and enough rpms to get you the best top end. A 150 is good for 50-55mph and you can squeeze another 5mph out of the CVT with the right setup. But after that you will either need more power and Taller Gears. Alleyoop Mark the Variator 1/2 by 1/2 and run it at WOT and then see how much of a mark is left.

[replyingto=alleyoop]alleyoop[/replyingto]I can easily get up to 50-55mph confirmed, and that's a cruising speed on flats. It feels like I have more throttle but getting near redline at 8000rpm, so I just easily cruise at 7000rpms. It just seems like it could wind out some more top end. Kinda like, "got plenty of motor, need more gear" Yea, its a 150 with 13" wheels, looks like a 50 vip, I guess you could call it a "Sleeper" Lol! I get weird looks from people everywhere I go...

Great, then with taller gears you will be pleased if you can cruise at those speeds at 7K Alleyoop

[replyingto=doublert]doublert[/replyingto]Gears are not weights.

Ok, figured that out, scooterelements, and monstergy6, didn't see any gear kits on either sites, but I did find them on ebay, now I'm not sure which ratio to get, looking at the NCY kit. Any suggestions would be great, Thanks to all!

Here are gears you can select the gears from the select box: You have to FIRST find out how many teeth your current tranny gears have to make the right decision. Alleyoop www.partsforscooters.com/Gear_set_gy6
