So after hours of searching the whole internets for a speedo puck that was less than $25 and having no luck, I finally decided to resort to Amazon. And what do you know; they have it. For $4 no less! Even if it's the wrong size it won't even matter because I only paid $8 total. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CBA94R2/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Now I recently found out my speedometer has been off by like 10% this whole time, and it's apparently a common issue... Will a new speedo puck resolve that? Or will I expect even worse results because I went cheap? When my speedometer said I was going 50mph I was going 43mph, when it said I was going 40 I was going 37, etc. According to gps anyway... Solved; all speedos are incorrect

I've personally never heard of an analog motorcycle or scooter speedo that didn't air on the optimistic side by around 7-10%, not sure why it's not more accurately done, but even my buddie's Suzuki DR650 would show him as doing 110 when GPS said 100, so it's not strictly a chinascoot problem. I guess marking the speedo dial wrongly is cheaper than actually increasing performance? Who knows....

[replyingto=carpespasm]carpespasm[/replyingto]That's hilarious, I had no idea it was so universal. So I guess there is no hope that the cheaper speedo puck is somehow more accurate

I got the speedo puck in the mail today. It sucks It fits, it works, it reads pretty much the same as my last one, but it makes the needle shake back and forth. I guess because it just wobbles around the general speed it's going it pretty much works better since it's only a guesstimate device anyway. :/ You get what you pay for, but it works good enough.

I installed a trail tec vapor digital dash gives all the info you need and the speedo can be made to match a gps speed even keeps a max sp and rpm
