Well, I finally bit the bullet and am installing my bbk! I have a question though. Upon com pairing the stock parts to the kit parts I noticed there's a metal hose that is supposed to connect to the head(I think) and it's not on the kit piece. What am I supposed to do with it since there will be nowhere to install it? Here's a pic attached. It's in the bottom left corner. Thanks -Tim Attachments:

I finally got my scooter running good after buying one of the so called stock replacement carbs that promises better than stock performance. They vary in size and jetting. These scoots generally run fine when new if a little lean, but they still run. The last thing someone wants to do is tune a new carb right out of the box. Theres no mention of maybe having to rejet these "stock" replacements. I had to try 3 different sizes and order each and had to wait in between. Newbs who might want to upgrade to a carb will expect to buy one and bolt it on and go. How can these all be "stock" replacements if they are for example 18mm with or 75 jets, 19mm with 72, etc when we know that its hit or miss if it will run right unless it is the correct size and jetting? I know for a fact that an advertised stock carb thats 19mm with an jet will not run on my T3 without mods to the air intake flow. Newbs are not going to know this. To me this is NOT STOCK and disclaimers should be added to the descriptions when advertising these carbs. Yeah, I'm a newb to carbs in general and I had trouble getting the scoot to run with a replacement I ordered online. After three days on not getting it to run right I took it off, put it back in the box and put the stock one back on -_- Worst part is, the replacement doesn't have a number on the jets..

DAughter is quite the photographer! Great scenic views . Your scooter is a Ruckus clone? Your daughter is a bit scared (avoiding the hills)? Yeah, she seems to have a good eye for pics, you can't keep here away from a camera Yup, it's a ruckus clone As far as hills go, she's fine with them, they're just a bit steep for the scoot, it'll only hit about 5 - 10 mph going up which is scary enough with people flying up them so I don't want to chance it with her on the scoot. I'm hoping to put my bbk in today so hopefully I can change that ;D Thanks -Tim

Thanks for the links I really like the series that guy has and have been watching it for awhile now but man I HATE not having any sound I didn't know about setting the gap on the rings...I may have trouble figuring that part out and which one goes where but other than that it seems straight forward Hopefully it'll turn out OK for me. Thanks again!

Wonderful info here, glad you got where you wanted! Just one quick question about the bbk instal, do you have a good informative video source you used for installing or did you just wing it? I might bite the bullet tomorrow and instal mine.

Thanks for the info ken I'm calling everyone I can to see if I might be able to purchase this scoot. I know my wife wants to learn and when I showed it to her she fell in love with it. I just hope it's not going to be a pain to fix if I can find a way to get it.

I didn't realize Schwinn makes scooters too.. I own a Schwinn bicycle . Love that bike, its from my childhood, but something wrong w it. Want to fix it soon. I would heed lycos' advice and get the title or a bill of sale. $100 is pretty cheap if its a simple cleaning or fix I love Schwinn bicycles, I wish I still had mine from younger years. What's wrong with yours? As far as a title or bill of sale, I plan on it 100%. But that is only IF I can somehow obtain it. Right now money isn't too tight, just transporting it home would be the problem.. it's roughly 45 miles from me but 1 1/2 hours away. -_- Gotta love no vehicle and living in the hills

The sound on a video is not going to be too good a reference. Something always gets lost between the outdoors sound and the speakers on your PC... LOL! I can pretty well describe how it sounds on my Xingyue 150. At idle, and up to about 4K rpm it sounds exactly like the original factory muffler, only slightly quieter. From mid-range, to WOT it still sounds similar to the factory muffler, but slightly louder. At high rpm, it has a little more "crack" to it, but certainly not objectionable. I can still hear my UNI-sock air-filter over the exhaust note. Across the entire rpm band, it sounds very much "factory" with maybe a hint of "high-performance" at WOT. It won't bother the neighbors, either starting up, or coming home late at night for sure! It's hard to believe a totally straight-through system without a single baffle can offer wide-open exhaust performance with quiet, factory-muffler sound level, but it seems to be the case. If you find it's STILL louder than you want, I'll bet the little "stinger" glass-pack after-muffler could be replaced with a stationary-engine (Briggs & Stratton type) of small muffler without robbing too much performance. That should make it "whisper-quiet" at ANY speed.Hope this may help...Leo (ridin' sneaky-quiet) in Texas Thank you very much for the info, Now I know I'm going to pick one up soon

Does anyone have a video of one of these running on their personal 4t? I'm thinking of getting one and hearing that it's really quiet is what I'm looking for! Thanks -Tim

Took the scoot out with my daughter this evening for a short ride(Avoiding hills for the time being) and she snapped a few pics. Here are two that turned out best: This was right across from where we were parked, She had a great eye for this pic:

I loved contra back in the day. Now a days I can't believe how hard it is to beat..I mean 1 hit and you're dead..sheesh, I had better skills then com paired to now..lol
Dreamcast is one of my favs as well, sadly, I forget about mentioning it a lot of the times. The "hack" is great to, simplest i,'be ever seen..lol. I love the game "typing of the dead" or something like that. Pretty tough game that utilises the keyboard and killing zombies, great way to learn to type..lol.
A still get to hear the Atari sounds from time to time, my family and I have vintage video game nights every other Friday. It's fun when my 8 year old daughter picks the 2600..lol.
So is there anyone else outnthere? Share your fondest memory in an arcade or home console! My first arcade game to play was at the dentist hen I was very young, Popeye the arcade game. I used to fork soo many quarters in it.
