Just noticed that my scoot made the banner! Thank you JR Only one problem, it's not my name in the pic but it says "scooterstuff". Just thought I would point that out as I'm sure it just happened by mistake and was able to sneak by unnoticed. ;D

Sorry, I've been having trouble finding time for the video lately. I should have some time tomorrow if the weather is good

Wow, I remember walking to the corner store to pick up wizard mags when I was younger. Good luck with the sale

The gas is mid grade, Just finished it up and will be getting high grade from now on(I got it when I got the scoot and had no knowledge that high is good to run in scoots because of cleaner burning or something like that ). The compression sure has changed. It's not an insane amount or anything, the starter can still get it started and the kick start works fine too but you can tell it's got more. Everything here is first time for me. With two cars down in the driveway, I can't afford to have the scoot break down to. Makes me nervous. I would almost call it a knock really. Tomorrow I'll try to get a recording of it. It may not catch the sounds perfectly but it's definitely different from the tapping of the valves.

I'm just thinking out loud here but is there a chance it could be the timing chain maybe needs re-tensioning or something? It seems to happen at mid-range and up would be the best I could describe.
I just REALLY don't wanna mess my scoot up.

I'm just curious what would cause it. No noise until 20 -25 mph and higher. Haven't gone wot at all. Everything is tight so it's kind of confusing.

One more question, at about 25mph there's a rattling noise...is that normal and will it go away over time?
Thanks -Tim

wait 50 miles before you go WOT at all. Do an oil change at your first 100, 300, and 600 mile intervals. After that your break in is close to complete. No WOT for more than 15-20 seconds at a time until that last oil change, and even then it's better to lay off WOT as much as you can help it ;D Congratulations. Than you I can definitely tell a difference in speed already. Before I had to wot to get 30 and now it's only half. I've put rouly 10 miles on it, I'm slowly getting there. Keeping off wot will be hard due to hills but it's all good ;D Now to get the other parts!

Well got it all put back together and took it for a short easy ride. Everything seems to be working well, I need to adjust the valves as there's an excessive ticking that wasn't there before.
How long is a safe break in period before I don't have to worry?

Its for the emissions dont use it wont hurt a thing mine had it Ah OK, so it's safe to disconnect it from where it leads to and just eliminate it all together?
