This problem just officially bypassed my skill level. Deferring to experts.

I personally have known cops who stop women JUST to try to get the phone number. It's a sick abuse of authority.

Sorry to hear about your experience, davec, and glad you're back up on the horse. To OP: I hate pigs. That's why I always follow the law (except speeding in a 25) so if they **** with me, I **** back and if they badger me while I'm riding, they will be up on YouTube the next day. I don't put up with their shi8. I know the laws and I know my rights. I know too many of them after having a brother-in-law in the force (plain clothes officer, ultra-corrupt) that abuse their power. You gotta push back to keep that line from creeping in too close.

That muffler is way too big for my taste.

I hit 40mph GPS with a slight head wind (6-10 mph) and running 4g sliders. I'm 5-8 at about 195lbs. I'm thinking adding weight back into the variator for better top end. What variator did you get?

He already had it started once with the new carb, you are thinking the carb needs primeing which his has already gone through that. Alleyoop Mine started and stopped twice but wouldn't stay running until I primed it; apparently the fuel trickling in was just too little at first.

That's not realistic for me, Alleyoop. I got my 49cc and won't be getting another anytime soon. So I'll take my risks along with the bike riders and pedestrians (hey, I go faster than them and have illuminating lights; I should fare ok since none of them have ever died in this county).

Also check the new coil; the spark boots sometimes screw on to make contact with the coil wire. Occasionally, they can come unscrewed and lose contact. Just twist the boot around clockwise, not too hard, and make sure it feels snug. Also check the wires coming from the stator for continuity (the red wire just below the top of the coil on the high end gave me fits when the joint became partially disconnected from hitting bumps).

Mine would't start either with the new carb (but did turn over). I just took a straw, dropped it in the gas tank, put my finger over the tip to create suction, and dropped a straw full of fuel into the carb through the top; problem solved.

Have you tuned the a/f since the change? Do that first to see. Raising my needle (dropping washer) made a big improvement in power and top end speed consistency. Since I've changed carbs, I've lost a little of the power feeling and this needle doesn't appear adjustable... screwed down into the hole.

Yeah I do have 10s, skutta. I'm not as much of a scooter connoisseur as you (and I'm thankful because since this is my first scooter, I'm not "disappointed" by comparing it to "better" scooters as I'm sure you were with Hondas and such). I can take some tight turns to my right; still gotta stop the stand dragging to my left. While my sliders give me mad acceleration, I live in a small town where acceleration doesn't really serve much purpose as most of my riding is rural. We don't have a single traffic light in my town. I think I need to jump back up in weights.

I heard of them a loooong time ago when i first got on the internet and was looking for ways to make cash; will check it out. I'm using these links because I shop through Amazon a lot and so does my gf so we were thinking why not get some cash back? Then we started sharing our links because lots of our friends shop through them. It's no way to get rich but hey, a couple bucks is a couple bucks (a.k.a. a fillup!).

Wow, both of y'all make me jealous. I guess it's my weight/height (6'5 250 or so). I just want 40; I'll never ask for a speed increase above 40! Plus my kick drags on left turns (I can just about lay her down on right turns) and I didn't know you could raise that; how?
