One of my little daily pleasures is watching the reactions of some motorcyclists and cagers as I take off ahead of them at lights, and they hit the gas hard to catch up. This video is the opposite of that, but still put a huge grin on my face! Here is the scooter rider's website, he heavily mods lots of scooters. niculin93.jimdo.com/

This one always gives me a chuckle. It's fun to see what a well sorted scooter can do on a tight track against some hooligan sport bikes:

That was so...............cool can you tell me where it was?, me and my good friend Alex go to track days as much as we can, he rides a large 1000cc Kaw. I'm kind of the pit crew/mechanic ( I'm a retired Harley mechanic. What do I know about Kaws ha ha. I do what I can) ?, we use my scooter as a pit bike .we always kid about wouldn't it be fun if the track would let the pit bikes do a couple of lapses on the track .you'd be suprised how many scooters are used as pit bikes. I love it ,not to brag but .(Ok I'am bragging) my scooter is always a hit. most pit bikes are just that, (the pits), a way to get around the pits, so you don't have to walk .and most people are suprised as how cool a scooter can look if you give it a little TLC. (and some custom details) last weekend we were at Sonoma Raceway near Napa Ca. and I can't tell you how many times we were stopped around the pits ,just to take a picture of the scooter, it was so cool ,I'm so proud of Putter that's what I call my scooter Putter the Scooter. I can't tell you how much I look foreword to the next track day (that will be Laguna Seca Raceway) anyway I thought the race video was so cool and I hope some day the guys at the race track will let the pit bikes have a go at the track.(and if it happens,)I know Putter will represent the scooter forum( very well) and as the video show's scooters CAN KICK AS*** later my friends . p.s. maybe I should explain track days for some of you that don't know what it is. track days is when a race track rents out it's track for a day or two to the public so anyone can run there motorcycles on the track.most track days are governed by some kind of organization, in are case it's PTT Pacific Track Time. hope that explains.

The track is in Thailand (possibly Pattaya) and the scooter was a 4 Stroke 125cc Yamaha Mio.

WOOW bro!! Your scooter is FAST!!
What size is it? im guessing a 150cc? its for sure holding its own!!
What all have u done to it?
Ive got 2 scooters, Use to have 3 but i wrecked one and it was no fixing unless i got a new frame and all kinda other stuff.
Right now I have a 150cc typhon thats what the site calls it i bought it from. or MCR-137-150
Also have a 50cc taotao VIP future champion.
I had a 150cc pro eagle(wrecked one) Just got my new scoot few days ago. Im still breaking her in.
Already changed the cdi to a CDI NO REV LIMIT, then whn comes time for 1st oil change I have always used synthetic oil in all my scoots, and the best gas possible and never have had a problem they run great.
Any tips on some other stuff i can do to get some more take off power and top end speed? Been riding 4 years on scoots.

More take off power requires adjusting the clutch springs, roller/slider weights, and for the most power installing a BBK and stroker crankshaft.
More top end requires changing your final drive gears, though you can get a few more mph with slider weights and a BBK.
