Hmmm...that is some VERY good info. I was thinking about having a contest on who could ride the most in a year

No... But - our commute (my wife and I work together) is usually (mostly) on I- (from Exit 110 to Exit 121) - and I have a Baccio VX150 - and, the road TO I- is about 10 miles of speed limit 50 (Ha, Ha!) - so, no... Takes a bit too long on the "back roads" - but, if I have to come in and do the weekend route and analysis (which I do alone), I have taken/will take the scooter!

I ride to work everyday. Our lowest of the season has been 27 so far. But yesterday, started off windy at 5:30 am in the upper 30's. As the day progressed the wind gained speed up to a steady 30-35 or so with gusts to 46 mph. Wow, it was a terrible afternoon to ride home from work. I kept it slow and steady, but still, very weary about the ride. I made it home safely and parked it for the day. Meanwhile a co-worker, who just bought a Tao Tao 50 this week past weekend, ended up being pushed into the curb where he landed in the grass. He told me today, it banged his bike up a little, but, only his pride was hurt. It was a much better ride today. Thank goodness!! Loren

I break it up between the Spider and the Aprilia. Monday and Tuesday were nice enough to ride but we moved our workgroup into a new building and had no place to set my gear down while unpacking. Today will be on the Aprilia now that I have a place to set down my helmet/gloves and hang my riding jacket and overpants.

I ride all year round, but since last week we have had winds as fast as 100km/h, I'm staying away from the highway till the crazy winds stop, lucky me I don't have to take the highway to commute.

Thankfully the Sport City with the tires I have on it has been rock stable in wind storms. Been riding daily now despite the prevailing wind that just finally dropped into the single digits after being 15 to 28 with gusts 30 to 45. Worst was being caught riding back from Orlando to Tampa a few years ago on the 75 mph Interstate during a Tropical rain storm. Semi-Trailiers were getting blown over right next to me.

2015 was a light year as I just got the 124 Spider however the 4 years prior to that I only drove about 10 days per year.

Yeah, I only live 8 miles from work. Really no reason to not ride except for the rain. Really hoping I can put some miles on the scoot this summer. I think it's been a record year for the WET here.

Hey all...long time since I've posted here...
Since work is only a mile from where I live -- and I don't have a car -- the scoot escorts me to work unless there is snow or ice. That makes the journey too risky, so I hoof it. But I've only had to walk a few times. I have a rainsuit that I purchased, extra large, to go over my clothing and coat which tames the cold winds.
