Yeah sorry about that anyways i had already planned on installing the 80cc big bore kit. Installed everything just like the you-tube video scrappydog big bore kit install. Everything but i didnt mess with the valves just left them the way they were off the old engine. Anyways engine just cranks and cranks putters maybe one or two times it sounds like it wants to start up really bad but just cant. Did the finger over the spark plug hole test. Now when you guys mean blow ur finger off. ? Do you mean like violently, or just softly . If i try to keep my finger from not being blown off it is impossible it always lifts my finger but it dont seem like a whole lot of power. Oh and the spark plug is wet and black really frustrated too get her going

too much fuel,,if the plug is wet then it's not sparking,,,try another new plug,,,make sure it's gapped correctly and lite that puppy

okay I was already planning on installing a big bore kit I got the 80 c_c big bore kit just the piston cylinder installed everything and won't turn over hold the plug what is black put my finger over the whole barely any compression at all any suggestions I'm assuming you're saying you've installed the 80 cc big bore kit, just the piston and cylinder (ie: no new crank), and now it won't turn over... that's likely because your starter motor isn't up to the task of kicking that larger motor over. As for holding your finger over the puke tube, there won't be (shouldn't be) much pressure on that tube... in fact, the lower the better, as that means you have less ring blow-by. Under perfect conditions, it'd suck and blow a bit as the piston went up and down, but we'll never get a perfect seal on the rings. You'll always have from 3 to 5% blow-by. |

Oh and the spark plug is wet and black really frustrated too get her going Ah, that makes it clearer. Sounds like you need to check that your valves are sealing properly. Do a compression test. And make sure your valve lash is set correctly. As for the wet and black spark plug... did you change the settings on the carb? I can't think that it'd be running rich when it's pulling more air in than before, but in this case, what you're describing is a rich mixture... so lean it out and keep trying. If you've got spark, and compression (even just a little bit) and fuel, she'll fire when you get the mix right. You might also squirt a small shot of ether into the intake as you're trying to start it... that should at least get her to fire for a little bit. |

okay I finally got her started the way I got it started was I just did the valve to the correct height then I spray some gasoline down in the intake it started right up but then it bogs down. Sprayed gasoline again started it up jumped on it and rode it about a half a block then died had to push it back well thats a start so what do i do now please help

Ok, drop in a new plug, and turn your mixture screw out a bit... if it's running when you're squirting gas down the intake, that means it's running lean. The black on the plug may have been from before the new big bore kit. Put a new plug in so you can get a better take on how the bike's running with the new setup.
Also... and this'll sound like a dumb question, but... you did put rings on the new piston, right?

This is a carbureted bike, yes? It may be that you have some sort of blockage in your carb. How long did it sit idle when you were putting the new big bore kit on it? You might have to crack open your carb and clean it out.

It was a brand new carburetor but it did sit idle for almost 8 days, but now i have another problem. About 4 days ago someone i know but not that well. had been telling me about this master mechanic that can fix anything so i say ok have him pick up the scooter and i will pay him to fix it. So the guy picks it up tuesday night. The next day i realize that i forgot to give him the key to start it. I send him a text telling him untill i can get the key to him he has my permission to start it how ever he can i mean he is a master mechanic right? No reply at all. The next day i send another text same text no reply all day. so i finally leave a voice mail. At about 8pm wendsday. He sends a text about 3am saying "Mark no voicemails please dont leave voicemails, ? No im getting irritated so i text the guy that told me about this guy it takes him a whole day to reply. saying the guy is a real busy guy he don't have time to reply to pointless text and voicemails? ? Now im getting really mad supposely im supposed to give the key to dan to give to this guy? I sent a text to the mechanic telling him if he can please just return the scooter asap as i do not want to deal with someone that has my only mode of transportation that will not communicate with me. Still no reply? Now im really pissed. My question is have i just been robbed? Can i file a police report? Or is it too soon somebody give me some advice before i take this in my own hands and do something stupid

Or is it too soon somebody give me some advice before i take this in my own hands and do something stupid I would try to call him again and tell him that I want the scoot back and arrange a place to pick it up, if he doesn't answer, send him a text and a voice message telling him that you will report it to the authorities, if he still doesn't answer, go to the police station and tell them the story. When it comes to mechanics, ALWAYS look for one that you trust, if you don't know a trusted mechanic, look for a professional shop, nothing worst than "informal" mechanics to screw you over, not that all of them are bad, but if you don't trust them and something goes wrong, it won't end well for you, you have no way to defend yourself. Bad mechanics is one of the main reasons I decided to start tinkering with my car and scooter, I have yet to find a competent one that I can trust with my car and/or scoot. Hope it turns out well for you in the end. |

Tell him you will report him to the authorities, if he still doesn't reply, call the cops, keep track of the messages you send him, that way you can show the cops that he's a crook. Not sure how the laws work on your side of the world, but you might need a witness. |

My issue is , if this guy is such a " master mechanic" , doesn't he know you need the keys to fix the thing ?
