I contacted the ruck shop and they said ncy stopped sending their heads in the ncy package about a year ago. When I get the head back I'll share more picks. Thanks

Thanks It should also have the NCY logo on the head like in the pic I posted. Also if you look at the real ncy heads , the exhaust port is smooth and doesn't have the lines left on the cast. I almost guaranty that's not a real ncy head .

George if you are right that is a real shame. What color were the valves spring on yours? I hope it will be good enough as I am investing money to get it ported.

One thing is certain. If you look at the pic of the ncy head in the package, you can see the ncy logo on the head . it is a dark gray color. My ncy head also has this logo. If you order any more ncy products , I'd orderer them from gy6racingteam on eBay. They sell the real ncy products along with their own Taiwan made products. I've never been disappointed with them. I actually in purchased my ncy racing head from scooter element also in PR. The only thing I didn't like about them was , they always tried to say gy6racingteam was selling fake ncy bbk's. I looked at the products he was talking about and , nowhere in the listing did they say the products where ncy. They still sell ncy, but started selling their own Taiwan bbk's and heads. I know a few members who have purchased their Taiwan made kits and said the quality was great. So , scooter elements was just talking like the competition was trying to sell products saying they were something different just to make them look bad. That didn't sit with me all that well, considering I purchased many items from them and never had an issue. But anyway , I hope you get that head done up nice.

I found many pics of the 58.5 mm ncy head with the logo, but could not find one of the ncy 61mm head. Thanks for the tip on gy6racing. I think I'll order the camshaft from them some motorio brand...

K excuse my first post Not to offend I have one of those NCY 61mm Big valve heads completed less springs. The most important factor in cylinder head flow is the Valve Job, not porting. And a proper valve job isn't a three angle job. The ports are darn near too big already, just blending of the Bowls is bout it. The Valve Springs supplied are Junk! I have ordered three more sets from three different mfg.'s and all junk! I even got a set with the inner and outer winding's going in the same direction. junk!! I will most likely have PSI spring make me a custom set. So Great luck and hope the build goes well Pistonguy

I've had float issues with both stock and "performance" heads. If you do find a good source, please let us know.

I ordered a set of springs from mfg. NCY advertised and labeled Titanium. Hmm last time a checked a Magnet don't stick to Titanium. Just had a fancy color coating on junk springs

I was asking some questions at the owners of the ruck shop about the valve springs on the ncy head I got and he said: Don't worry you will never break them . And don't get the titanium one they are not REAL they are just coated that's why we don't sell them. A magnet sticks to them.

I've never noticed any issues with the ncy 58.5 racing head . tbh , u really should not have any valve float issues unless your cranking out way past the rpm redline range. Which is just asking for problems from overheating to valve floating issues, etc. Now a stock head and valve springs are another story .

just an FYI I am getting the head ported for efficiency only. Thus the wholes should not be made any bigger. I am not sure when I will get the head back. I hope this week. It looks like it is going to be fairly cold this week. I might start taking the scooter apart this week. I really hope I do not have to take the engine out to do this job.

So your just going to get the ports polished. Nothing wrong with that . ope everything turns out good for you .

Cool As I stated the Bowls should be blended. Mine were in poor shape. Great luck and keep us informed how it turns out.

Quick question. Should I take the oil out before I start this upgrade or would it leak out when I take the cylinder out?
Thanks - Luigi
