Hey all great new site here i like it i was on the old one as the same name if anyone remembers me lol. To get to my issue though i had ordered a high performance ignition coil and no rev limiter cdi or my 150cc pegasus scooter awhile back. To this day the bike still bogs at about half throttle with both of these parts on and even when i just have one part on it bogs. When i take it off and switch it to the original cdi and ignition coil it runs like a dream. Could it be a wrong jet size in the carb or? Just trying to get some insight, appreciate it guys, thanks!

Bogging is a carb issue not electrical . Try cleaning the jets out by removing the bowl on the carb . Also check the intake for leaks

Okay thanks both of you and well i acually have the carb off now cleaning it im doing my spring checks oil, cvt, carb clean, spark check, valve clearence, etc. but i though it might be a wrong size jet possibly or possibly the air to fuel ratio maybe off butthe problem only occure when i have those performance upgrades on there also stock carb with stock cdi and coil runs perfect.

skuttadog is right. Bogging is almost always a fuel problem. But this may be the exception to the rule. Not all aftermarket stuff is as high grade as the seller tells you it is. If it runs like a dream with original equipment I would have a very serious conversation with myself and the guy who sold me stuff that works worse. If you hae not figured out what the converstation with myself would be, follow my posts awile and you will get the drift.
lots of luck

1. Have you tried putting the OEM COIL with the Performance CDI? 2. Have you tried putting the Performance Coil with the the OEM CDI?
In this case it is not your carb it is either both of the parts or one of them.
WHICH CDI did you get? WHICH COIL did you get? Alleyoop

Yes and its the combo orange performance cdi and coil that i bought on ebay theres still plenty on there but i have tried using only one and also only using one at a time and the bike bogs when i rev at half throttle and it wont get out of the bog unless i let off the throttle. Just cleaned the carb, plug is good, changed oil, no vaccuum leaks, all is good idk what the issue is with those parts.

Meant to say ive alternated between using only one part at a time and also both at the same time and the problem still arises.

Always do a single mod at a time and test it . Pour some Sea Foam ( only a small amount ) into the gas tank . A clogged fuel filter can make one run bad . Have you messed with the needle position ? Have you done a plug chop ? Here is a chart to compare your sparkplug with www.4secondsflat.com/plug_chart.htmlHere is more info on Mikuni carb tuning www.iwt.com.au/techinfo.htm

I had a plug that was a nice light brown color that was failing at speed. I changed the plug (after taking the carb of half dozen times and cleaning it) and voila. Apparently, it was leaking at a crack in the porcelain ~ I wouldn't throw any money at it.
I tend to think the unlimited CDIs are crap and worse than stock....but that's my opine.

Midrange bogging is often the needle needs to be moved on the clip if it has one or the diaphragm in the top may have a tear or the rubber intake may be cracked as they do dry rot over time .
I put a racing blue CDI on 2T it did have more take off since timing was advanced but had the same top end as the stock exhaust was restricted .
I have an Echarm which is the same scooter but mine has Ducatti EFI and it is far better than a carb . I have read some have had trouble with the carbs on a CFMoto engine and Mikuni carb would be an improvement .
Does it bog like almost stalling or have a lean misfire like a small poping sound . Check for exhaust leaks too

Its only with the performance parts i see problems. I just rebuilt the bike this week after repainting and doing some cleaning on it before the warm weather arrives soon where i live. The bike runs great no bogging at all with the stock cdi and coil but when i switch to either or both of the performance parts i mentioned it bogs at half throttle all the way to wot.

Well now you know it is not the carb if it runs great with the OEM parts. So if it does not matter which one you put on it bogs out, throw them in the garbage and order from a reputable dealer.
TVANCMAN TESTS THE COILS AND CDIs so I would PM him he has a banner on here and get TWO good parts from him. Nothing else you can do you got some garbage parts period. Alleyoop
