Wednesday is going to be 50 here....cant wait! I might squeeze in a 20 mile rip. I need to get the synthetic out of my crankcase and get some dino oil in there for the break in on this BBK. Well they say that todays synthetic oil isn't really 100% synthetic anyway so i might just leave it....it will break in eventually,,it has no choice...lol I used regular penzoil for break in , then I switched to royal purple max cycle, its like 18 bucks a quart ! . do u ever watch STREET OUTLAWS ? Many of the cars on that show use royal purple . Yeah,,i see walmart has it,,it looks so expensive too me,,If I was going to spend that kind of money think I would go with Amsoil Signature Series Full Synthetic. That stuff is hands down some good oril.....

The Walmart around here doesn't Carry royal purple . its suppose to be one of the best " some say it is the best " full synthetic out there , but I can't say that for sure.

I was thinking about running Castrol Syntax stuff,,saw a guy on youtube with 30k miles on a china gy6 and thats all he ran,,when I took my head off for BBK I saw some minor scuffing on my piston,,that is making me second guess using Rotella anymore...not sure if it had anything to do with it or the jug just had a tight spot,,maybe piston was a little off casted too..who knows with this junk.

Sure would be nice to see an "update on new Koso variator" in this 'update on new Koso variator' thread! Lol, this dam- weather is keeping me from riding . we just got a good 8" on snow last night . at least I was able to install the new starter clutch , but I still need to replace the trany box seal . I kept my scoot inside the last couple days " parked it in the dinning room " . I'll probably get the seal replaced Saturday, and hopefully the weather will clear up soon so I can test the new koso . I'm 98% sure I know its going to turn out just like the last two " according to all the measurements " , but I've been wrong before ,lol . its also been hard with all the hospital situations going on . maybe I should add a " maybe " to the end of the thread name , lol .

I'll make this quick since I posted the results in another thread . basically I think the koso I recently bought is exactly the same as the last two , but I believe the reason I had to use 9.5 gram weights was due to a problem with the stock starter clutch . I had to go up .5 gram in weights , the belt will not drop fully in the variator , and 2moro I will confirm full belt climb .

Here is a couple pics , first the belt travel , then the second pic is how far the belt is in the clutch . . . Remember this is the longer 842 belt !

The belt is not climbing quite as high as I would like . not sure what is going on ? I'll give it some time and check it again . I may even order a new belt. And try the 846 with these newer Koso's
