Well there is something different. Mine unlocks from the ignition switch. I can unlock the seat in the "run" position by turning farther to the right or unlock it in the "off" position by turning the key to the left. It does not really say that on the switch though. To lock the steering I have to push the key down and then left. Interesting, and might look a bit better, i think Znen did a crap job on the trim around the lock there. Speaking of the key, mine's unique feature is that there's a cover for it, i'll try to add a pic later, but basically it is exactly what it sounds like, a built in cover for the key slot. I use that, two locks and the kill switch to keep the bike where i leave it. This key lock has a built in cover feature too. The little tab that sticks out on the right can be flipped up and a cover blocks off the key hole. The hex with a notch in it, at the 6 o'clock, position releases the block. The hex key is molded into the key handle. So the key is actually two keys in one.

Hmmm, anyone know what connectors are used for the lighting, and where to get parts (connectors, pins, crimping tool)? I mean where it plugs into the main harness? I'm thinking of adding some extra lighting and would like to add it to the light circuit without hacking up the harness. I'm thinking get the parts to build my own short harness to add in that gives me leads to connect to rather than modifying the existing wiring. Hey Javarod, You can get all the terminals, pins, plugs and the crimper from cycleterminal.com. I've placed a few orders with this company and it's a good company. As far as what plugs you have, I can't say for sure because mine is a 150cc not the 50cc. Just pull the plastic off and have a look. The front faring comes off really easy. What kind of additional lighting are you planning on running? I'd expect the lighting circuit on the 50 to use the same parts as the 150, no reason not too. In fact i wouldn't be surprised if the whole harness is the same, just like car manufacturers using one harness, even if they're not using all the connectors on it because they're meant for option parts. Lets see, looking at your 150 diagram, i'm thinking i want to plug into the pilot light connector, and the rear lighting connector. If you can tell me which connectors i need to order from them to do that (i'm assuming you can easily pull and check those if your scoot isn't already apart), i'd appreciate it. The idea here is that i'm going to unplug the pilot light from the wiring harness, and add a small harness between them that'll give me pigtails for accessory lights, that way i don't have to hack up the factory harness. The front turn signals look like they're using common 'bullet' connectors oddly enough. Hmmm, thinking about it, still need to pull mine apart, i want to LED convert it as well as making a chart with all the bulb numbers since the only chart at Bintelli shows the manufacturer numbers, not the common numbers like 1157 and so on.

Awesome haha I had no idea why my key had that thing on the back till now

I use it to secure my scooter of course, when i park for anything other than a couple minutes, i use this, turn off the kill switch, put on a disc brake lock, chain the bike down using the rear wheel, and put a cover over it.

Haha, I guess. I just ride it and don't worry about the dealer considering theres none within a reasonable distance. Anything I need I'll find out here, even random little things like this. If I was riding something complex and expensive like a ducati I'd surely worry about a good dealership as it would be pretty essential, but since there's nothing around me I make do. Actually my favorite part about these scooters is that there's no need for an expert mechanic at the dealership, just the great help and knowledge on these forums.

But yeah, locks are essential, I have a chain, alarm disc lock and now thanks to you guys one more little deterrent however small. After watching YouTube voids of scooter thieves in China stealing them in seconds flat I got paranoid. Not to mention my town is full of bike thieves.

Ok, added a carry basket to the back: The basket is a Wald 139/1392 with the handlebar brackets removed, and four hose clamps attaching it to the racket. Four might be a little overkill... Nah, no such thing as overkill. Oh, and removing those brackets is a pain. Hmmm, if enough are interested, maybe i'll find out how many i've gotta order from Wald to get them with no brackets. Nice and simple, plenty of room for my lunchbox/cooler, even the big one, just gotta get a net for it, though cords will do for now. And could use some manner of tote to go in there so i can carry groceries or other purchases easily. We had some nice ones at work, but they were a special and sold fast. Coming at some point when i get around to figuring out the connectors for tapping purposes, a brake light, and a pair of amber 'wig wag' safety lights on the back of it.

I have the 150cc Jonway version of your scooter. I love it! I need a rear rack like yours though so I can add a trunk.
Whether or not you can add a rack i think comes down to whether or not you have the mounting points. This is a close up of the left side mounting points, right is the same. Does yours also have the dual shocks in the rear? While we're on close ups, i done put some stickers on mine over the last few months: Unfortunately that last one isn't sticking well. I finally found a rear rack that did not cost over $100.00. Still set me back $60.00 with shipping though. Found a cool site and the rack was only $6.70, the shipping and associated fees made up the rest. Still it was about half the price of domestic price and conventional oversea price that I could find. If this site works out well, I could see a lot more scooter parts coming in the future.....

Was the rear rack designed for the original Zuma? I'm curious because there's nice grab bars and custom stuff for the Zuma that I like but I'm not sure if they'd fit on my clone

Well, well, well, we might have a bit of a clue about the dying problem. For those coming in late, the Scooter of War has left me on the side of the road a couple times, dying when i tried to accelerate. So, last night i went to leave for work, turned the throttle, and... nothing. It was running, i'd idled it while i got geared up, then walked it down to the parking lot. Held the throttle open, and slowly it began to accelerate, essentially it was a delayed reaction to me twisting the throttle.
Hmmm, i'm guessing its related, but i got nothing, what could cause that? It just had its 1K service, so the throttle cable has been checked, so that's not it.

Received my rack from Taobao and it worked. So now for a top case.
Did you figure out the problem? Could be a few problems. First is that you took it in for it's service. I really do not trust places to work on my vehicles. I got some good stories on that. Well I would say if the engine revs then second would be clutch. If it does not rev then I would suspect carburetor linkage or vacuum. Good luck.

While the problem persists, I came to the same conclusion. I actually started a thread in the repair area about it, figured it could use separating.

Grumbles, "Ok, The Scooter of War is in the shop, its always been a bit of a dog on hills, but it got worse Mon morning, right down to struggling to move from a stop. Bringing it to the shop, my flat ground top speed was barely over 25, and i could swear the back end was trying to get out from under me to the left. Its tried that before, but only occasionally, and it was easy to blame it on the road considering how crappy Missouri roads are, but... Any how, i'm going on vacation, and hopefully it'll be right as rain when i get back."
