And this boys and girls explains why a good dealer is important, mine explained exactly what it was and how it works. I use it to secure my scooter of course, when i park for anything other than a couple minutes, i use this, turn off the kill switch, put on a disc brake lock, chain the bike down using the rear wheel, and put a cover over it. I believe in the power of cover! Less temptation to steal an unknown object.

That is nice. Bet it makes the scooter ride a bit smoother too.

That is nice. Bet it makes the scooter ride a bit smoother too. Not so much, but handy it is. So, while i'm here, lets do an update. Had a bit of work done, 5 gram rollers specifically. Was going to get it re-jetted, but ran into a problem there, its a 72, and apparently this carb doesn't have an adjustable needle, so they couldn't get it to work right. Not sure what i'll do as i'm considering upgrading to a 150 reverse trike next year, prolly wait until i get started on the project scooter, and use that as a guinea pig. Still, the rollers are working out great, i would've gone with a 1 gram drop, but Dave swears by 5 grams on a 50cc. I have to admit, i'm not regretting it, i might've lost 1 or 2 miles on flat ground, i've never paid that close attention to my speed, but i'd swear that on hills i'm picking up a lot, possibly as much as 5MPH, and considering the amount of hills i face, that's a great thing. Here, have a pic of the scooter last night at work Yes, it really is locked to a pallet. We've got 4 pallets and 3 racks of clearance plants where i usually park, so i've had to make do. 47˚ here this morn, i need to wear the heavy gloves i think, and if it goes down much more, i'll have to put the liner in my jacket. By Jan i'm going to need something heavier and waterproof to where if i'm going to continue riding. Oh, one bit of a problem, turn signal switch broke on the way home, have to find out if that's covered by the warranty. Flipped it to the left to trigger the hazards (right signal was already on) and the lever broke off. That's annoying, i'm guessing that the cold had something to do with it. Oh well, these things happen.

My turn signal broke too. The center cancel button popped off somewhere. At least they are reasonably priced.
I have a BWS windshield on it's way. I hope it makes the colder commutes a bit better by keeping the wind off me more. My coldest ride so far was yesterday at 53*. I have riding pants and that made a big difference.

Stumbles in, "Hmmm, forgot about my scooter, and this place, more or less. Been busy with other things, but time to resurrect it. Got a bunch of parts from Dan because just cleaning the carb and putting fresh gas in it would be boring. So, here's the run down and questions, we'll add photos another time."
CDI Uni Filter Plug, do I need to do anything to it, ie grease or anything, before I screw it in? Performance exhaust (this came from Scrappy), most definitely not bolt on, partially because of a manufacturing issue, largely because I've got a dual shock rear, pipe's now rebent, just need some new bracketry Coil Keihin carb, prolly should rejet, there any agreement on the best for a 50cc with these upgrades? Fuel filter since it can't hurt
I think that's everything. Now just have to get time and motivation to get this going. Oh, and need a new battery, one terminal on mine is corroded, and I'm going to see ifn I can't squeeze a slightly larger one into the box. If I turn the battery around, I should be able to get just a slightly larger battery in there, I think... Measure, gotta measure. Also got a few lights to add to the bike.
Yeah, need to get my in gear and get back on the road.
