Can someone give me a stock number and source for a duplicate ignition key for my Baja 150? I see that I can buy a new switch with key but I am only looking for a second key. I tried the local hardware store where they said it looked just like some Ford keys but one side is too thick and it would not work. We have no lock shops or locksmith in this rural town. I tried to find it in the very lousy parts manual for the GY6 scooters but that scan is so horrible that if it had a key I would be unable to spot it! Does anyone know of a source for blanks for spare ignition keys?
Thank you.

I purchased the ones from ebay, and they work fine. They're a little thinner than stock but it's not an issue. And, Ace Hardware will cut them for free. I slipped the clerk a five, and all was well.

A neighborhood mom and pop hardware shop has the blanks I get for my longbo adventurer 150cc style. They still cut them by hand . They work perfect on all the locks.
The blank key says :
SILCA , Italy #KW15BP

ACE hardware Hillman #DC3 or #HD75 I went in to the local Ace Hardware this afternoon and had them make me a key. All they had was the DC3 blank. It did not fit. It did not even come close. It would not even slide into the ignition.

I meant I used a blank for a 91 maxima at Kmart and they copied my scooter key to it . LOL . I kinda figured most would realize that but I guess its good to be more specific.

Your only hope is to go thru the blanks at the store and find a blank that is the same thickness and cut as your scoot key. Or keep tryin online . There has to be blanks out there somwhere .
