Well, I sold the 50cc Ice Bear trike. It was too used up and slow for my needs. I saw an AutoMoto for sale on my local Craigslist. it was a 2010 model, blue with 2700 some miles for $1950.00 The guy said it had a small oil leak and that is why so cheap. He claimed they sold for over $3K used and near $4K new. I was interested in the tilt design for a trike that rides more like a bike and did some internet snooping. One of the places I found was a trike dealer a bit over an hour away. Seems they had a 2009 dealer demo with fifty miles on it. They were willing to let it go for $2K even, plus tax & title. I took a drive today to go see it and try it out. At first it was very awkward trying it out in the small driveway at the dealership. It took some getting used to having the cabin structure lean with the seat and controls, but once up to speed faster than walking, it felt just like any other cycle. I bought it on the spot after a nice test drive that put a grin on my face. I just have to wait for the weekend when my son can bring his truck & trailer to bring it home.

Thanks! I'm also hoping it is able to stand out in traffic enough to not get run over, turned in front of, etc.

Please keep us updated on your impressions and ownership experience. I always liked these things and look for deals like yours on my local craigslist. Many safe and happy miles to you!

Will do. I just got back from a 1/2 hr ride. Just around our local subdivisions. Still in the engine break-in period. I want to do this right so I get some quality miles out of it later.

I'm not sure just how fast it will go once broken in. Most of where I want to ride it is 45 mph or less, but you know how traffic can be. I threw on a set of saddlebags from my old trike for extra capacity. Probably won't hold the weekly grocery run, but OK for odds & ends.

I have a 2011 Vogue/AutoMoto trike same color red, bought it on ebay June 2012 w/750 miles, I use it every day here in S.Florida (recent move) for shopping going to the beach in Boca Raton. I have over 4,000 trouble free miles logged in on mine with just a few aftermarket parts you should consider replacing, performance orange CDI, orange coil and wire, and a iridium plug, about $ 50 @ scrappydog on line. I cruise 48-50 mph and top out 52+ or 55 on a downhill. Enjoy your new ride... it gets better at 1,000 miles- savy09

Thanks! I already ordered and received an NGK Iridum plug and PCV valve from ScrappyDog. I will probably get the rest of the suggested parts once I reach 500 miles (break-in) and do another oil change with synthetic. I bet we are out of luck for performance/aftermarket exhaust on these, right?

I'm a member of that group and flagged it here for our new member to join… mike, interesting you are aware that the Vog260 and 150ZK trike are made by Xingyue… in fact AM corp, 2012, was showing us on AM forum a prototype Vog260 engine with the (unique) trike tranny but never offered it for sale. Guess it was the same issues that caused the demise of the company, or a safety issue riding this trike on interstates? Could also be that China having ripped off the trike from Japan and maybe japan who supplies the differential in the tranny refused, they do have them custom in japan tho.lol

Savy09 - sorry, I didn't see that you mentioned the same group. i was so impressed with my Vog I've done lots of research on Xingyue. They also made the bms pathfinder 200 that so many people on the old scootdawg site used to ride.
This trike seems to keep trying to make it. It was the Xingyue Vouge which i don't see anymore, the Scooterpod, which went out of business, and even sold as a convertible by Diamo as the Velux. Safer wholesale still sells it as the Banzai as far as i know.
