I replaced the 6 wire odd ball rectifier/regulator about 21/2 weeks ago on my Xingyue/Auto Moto 150cc trike… that solved the no headlights problem. Last week I installed a new carb and it ran fine every day and this past sunday I took a long ride. Next morning she cranked fine but it won't start. Carb is getting fuel, checked hoses for vacuum leaks, auto choke, replaced plug and coil-wire, adjusted valves, 2 days now and still not starting. Guys what have I missed? Update:Solved with two 15amp fuses! Strong crank but not starting ℅ both 15amp fuses and engine kicked over and no problem since. My bad for not replacing the obvious, both fuses "LOOKED GOOD" at first but never tested with another fuse until after the holidays, DUH. Back riding big red in sunny s.florida. Still have it for sale though on Craigslist. It's getting harder to wrench for me at my age. Read more: itistheride.boards.net/thread/7086/strong-crank-starting#ixzz3RIChe4yD

As is the canopy can't handle high winds 25-35mph it starts fighting you so enclosing the sides with canvas it acts like a sail and can push you over in heavy winds. lol

Thanks. It rides just like a 2 wheeler, once you get used to the canopy(ride it for 15 minutes making turns) Great in the rain, keeps you dry moving forward
Thanks guys for helping me find and solve the problem!!!

Update:Back on the road again!!! Regulator arrived from China (12days) yesterday and installed this morning, voila! Let there be light! Headlights came on at start-up all systems go! Took a ride around town, the weather is sunny and cool mornings(72) now, great scooter riding weather here in S.Florida. The good life has returned for me!

I didn't post the picture of both 8 pole stators… my question was about matching one of those stators to my 6 pole connector regulator YYYGWR - or is my regulator a match for an 11 pole?

'Update: No headlights on 2011 150ZK Vogue/Auto Moto trike Regulator is off via the base of trunk, 2 0f 6 wires are bare and also have green corrosion-water damaged, its AC, a six pin male connector, and connected to a 8 pole stator?. Ordered from scrappy and they have to find one…at this point I expected that. lol '
Found an exact 6 wire/6 pole connector match YYYGWR, a china outfit on ebay usps 7-20 days. No one here could match it and they questioned the 6 wire color code.
My question: ALLY, is my AC stator an 8 pole like one shown or 11?

I got the regulator off the trike and I find only 2 bare wires connected the other 4 are corroded (green) completely off the regulator end. So I ordered one from scrappy, now thy have to find one like it, a 6 pin male connector YYYWGR How do I insert a jpg image here?
Don't know if this will solve the problem… wonder if I need to replace the headlight switch???

I found white corrosion on the bottom of the regulator connector and the green and black wires plastic falling off touching them with fingers…can these wires be saved by cleaning and wrapping with electrical tape, short of getting another harness?
