ive been looking and see alot about rooler wheights and pullys. is their any advantage to swaping out these for performance parts? i have a 260cc bms scooter. what can i do all and all to make this baby run a lil faster, smoother and cleaner?

They're usually tuned for max performance. Unless you equip it with an EFI, rollers won't do much on a big bike like this.

The cheapest way to go faster and smoother is to get a bigger scooter.
I found out I wanted a scooter fast enough to run with Interstate traffic with a good amount of reserve for up grades, passing, and head winds. I didn't realize that until I got a TMAX.

Yes, if you need to be running for example at 60 or 65 you need something that will do that at 3/4 throttle and have some left over for when you need it. If you get something that will do 60+ BUT only at full throttle your motor will not last. Alleyoop

My 125 holds a steady 60 on the flat (no wind, fresh air filter, etc, obviously) at WOT. Surely a 260 should cope with 60mph at 3/4 throttle? I only ask as 250-300 is the cc I'm thinking of for the next scoot, for exactly that reason. Ian

You have to realize that the variabler speed transmission you are riding uses a v belt and get traction between the lengine and the gearing via squejing the sides of the belt. A great deal of fricitonal power loss. Notice how hot the belt case gets with a simple ride. That is friction heat (power) You want to go faster with this engine, you got to reduce thgat friction. Cheapest as you have been told by several is a bigger scoot. A used 400 CC scootwith EFI will keep ou with 80 MPH interstate traffic with reasonable ease. You may think that is ridiculos but that is how it is.
