Make sure the TWO wires normally bolted on to the valve cover are there. I forgot to put the skinny one back on and I had the same problem. attached it back and like magic it turned over. If you can turn the engine by hand then its an electrical problem, not the valves. Also I don't find it a coincidence that this happened right after the bbk in which requires you ti disconnect alot of stuff including wires. What makes you think of this guy as a pro? Sounds like he fucked up your bike if you ask me. Whats your kick starter situation? I seriously doubt your starter, solenoid, or battery randomly went out because you installed a bbk. You would have had warning for failure whether it be a gradual malfunction or a spontaneous one(Works when it wants too).

Not all models have the ground wires attached to the valve cover. My Znen Q50 does not.

How are you checking for spark? Against the frame, or against the engine?

Both frame and engine.

If you don't get spark on either the frame or the engine, then it is most likely either a bad coil/plug-wire or a bad CDI. You can check the CDI with a multimeter, the coil/plug-wire can also be checked for proper resistance.
Have you found the ground strap for your engine? There should be a wire connected to the engine itself at some point, usually on the valve cover, but not on mine.

I have a racing cdi with an led on it. The Led lights up whenever I turn the engine over. The only grounds I see are from the battery and the starter.

Do you still have your stock CDI? If so, try it out. If it works, you know it's the racing CDI (they are notorious for failing).

I have a racing cdi with an led on it. The Led lights up whenever I turn the engine over. The only grounds I see are from the battery and the starter. You need a GROUND wire from the motor to the frame. Get a piece of wire and loosen a bolt on the Valve Cover and connect a wire under the bolt and then to the frame. If the motor is not grounded the spark plug will not fire. Also check your killswitch make sure it is on the run position and also check your sidestand if you see some wires going to the sidestand that also has a killswitch and the SIDE STAND has to be UP.
