OK Alleyoop I respect your responses. I followed your intructions on drilling out to the air/fuel mixture screw and the scoot idles like a champ now when cold Alleyoop and a few others have the Jedi scooter knowledge. When they speak I listen.

OK,OK trolls, I'll bite. You scooters put out power beyond all reason. What I really think is any or all of the below: 1. You are looking at the kilometers per hour scale 2. Have an uncorrected speedometer that reads 10 to 20 percent too fast 3. With a motor that has been modified from stock 4. You live in Florida, and don't have a clue what a real hill is, or have forgotten. Or, you have found your way to Xanth. That's it from me, I'm done with this thread. Have fun, trolls. . How is this for trolling. Bring youself and your scooter to Panama City Beach fl. If I can't do 45 mph gps verified with me a fatty I'll sign the title over to you. If I hit it 45 gps you sign yours over.

Your scoot is basically the same as mine, I have a 2012 verson BMS Heritage 150 BN150QMJ. Mine acted the same way when I got it so I decided to follow the advice of the smart people on this forum. At about 300 miles I changed the variator weights to 12 grams (factory originals were 17 gram and already deformed from being excessivly heavy). I then changed my main jet from the 105 original to a 115. I would reccomend getting the jet kit from ebay that has many different sizes in it so you can find the one that works for you. I live in central florida so the riding conditions are similar. I am now at 2100 miles and the scoot has been great, never let me down and I always seem to attract questions from people. Good luck.

Thanks Alleyoop. I will have to play with it and open it up. I'm hearing that it may also be a belt case air cleaner cover. So much to learn.

I wiegh 300lbs and rode a 150. I put over 6000 miles on it in a year and it held up just fine. Stock it would do 53 or so, according to the GPS. I put a 115mm variator and 12 gram wieghts and it made a huge difference. The stock ones were 14 gram. With the larger variator, it was good for 58mph, according to the GPS. And I rode it with a pretty heavy hand.
I also have a 250. It's not much quicker, it just don't work quite as hard. The 150 was more dependable tho and it was a much more fun bike.
The 150 was even more fun then my 500.
