Hey, I didn't see another thread on this so i'll make my own. What flaws did your scooter have from the factory. Might help me and others know what to check on our scoots and what too look for when buying a new chinese scooter. Mine is a 2013 Jonway 150cc, this is what i found so far (100 km on bike), bet i will find more - Stem nut dangerously loose
- brake rotor bolts hand tight about to fall off
- fuel line hose clamp on middle of hose instead of end
- CDI just dangling above engine from it's wires, not in it's mount
- rear brake non functional
- brake handles stick
- flaky headlight beam switch (some times headlight shuts off)
what about you?

2013 BMS Heritage 150cc. The Voltage Regulator crapped out at about 300 miles. Other than that, nothing so far.

I have 2013 Q6 Trike and the only thing I have found wrong was the rear brake assembly was attached a little off causing the left turn to be a little short .I readjusted the brake handle assembly and fixed the problem . I checked the trike over carefully with the PDI and everything seemed to be done in a professional way .Welds were good ,no rust and nothing loose. The only negative thing is that it takes time to remove all the bolts holding the under seat container so it can be removed . I am very satisfied with the assembly .

When my scoot arrived:-
• The front tire was out-of-round. • the front fender had a ½" crack in it. • The front wheel rim was out-of-round. • The carb jets needed to be cleaned out in order for me to be able to ride on the roads. • The steering fork stem lower tapered roller bearing race had "sticking" areas & had to be replaced. • The head lights shone into the moon. After maximum adjustment down, the lights shone into the tree leaves. So driving at night is not easy as sight is limited.

Welds from outer space. (think spray painted popcorn) Rusted bearings on a scoot with TWO miles on the odometer!

hard start (resolved) and broken gas gauge, the gauge is still broken thou eventually will fix but later on, ill rather tinker with other things than the gauge, i usually just look thru the gas hole to see if its low or full...other than that, thats it

2012 Tao Tao EVO 150. Upper mounts for rear shocks seem to be welded at a slightly wrong angle causing the top of the shocks to hit the mounts when the suspension pivots going over bumps. Don't see any real way to fix it and I assume it will eventually break the shock mounts or bend the shocks if it hasn't already. I now have a garage trophy to show how dumb my decision was to buy this thing.
Anyone want to buy a nice Tao Tao for parts? lol

1 or 2 minor flaws.. Okav those kids in china are probably exhausted and over worked. But you just plain need to take it back and get an other or go to another dealer.. Somethigns its like ok its irritating, it sounds like they didn't even care when they put it together. Imagine what other problems are lying to surface that you can't see.

There sure seem to be a lot of problems with Chinese . . Are they possibly all made by the same manufacturer? I have bought 2 scooters made by the same Chinese manufacturer and neither one had any serious problems . Possibly mine will pick up problems later with miles on them ,but on the initial arrival and PDI .problems are minimal .

Yeah i would take it back but the dealer is in another state i had the bike shipped to me. i do customer service as part of my job and i am thinkign if I was the dealer, i dont know what could they do for me, except send parts or some thing. id have to pay hundreds of dollars to ship it back i do have a warranty still so last resort if the engine siezes or the frame breaks in half i hav recourse. i may just sell it and cut my loss, get some thing else, i saw a scooter i liked a lot the other day
