I have a 2008 TGB 49cc 101S off road sport scooter. It sat for a year in storage and now won't start unless I spray some carb spray in the air cleaner. It just seems to not get fuel. I bought a aftermarket fuel filter and gas won't go into it.
The Scooter has 1100 miles. The battery is fine. The carb might need cleaning but I'm not sure why it's not getting gas.
Gas is been changed out with new. Lines look good. Not sure if clogged, but I will clean the carburetor. It ran fine last year. Do I need another fuel filter?
What are your guys thoughts? Please help.
Thank you.

You must of not read the write well enough. It takes many many years to become good at things if your willing to learn. Remember you have 4 basic systems that any motorized vehicle needs to run and move. Each system has many parts to make that part of the system do its job. A good mechanic needs to know each system and each part within that system. Then knowing the symptoms each part can cause is the key to Diagnose which system is causing a certain problem. Then it is just a matter of testing each part of the system to find the culprit. If you do not know the symptoms a part can cause you are just a part re-placer. Alleyoop

Alleyoop ill go back and read it again im still in the learning stage on these bikes myself, just seemed like a good place to start being that the bike has sat and anything floating in the tank would migrate south. It was just my 2 cents.

tank looks clean the gas comes out clean. It must be the fuel pump. I tried to blow a little air n clear it hooked back up the lines but no gas floes.
Any idea how to fix the fuel pump?
P.S. Is the fuel pump also known as the petcock? Should I just replace it?

If you go that route make sure to shut it off when not ridding so you dont flood it.

If the Gas Tank is higher than the Carb it is a PETCOCK if the tank is lower than the Carb it is a FUEL PUMP. Alleyoop

Where is the fuel NOT flowing to?? You said the fuel flows out of the tank. That means the fuel goes to the petcock, and you replaced the petcock It could be as simple as the Vacuum line going to the Petcock is cracked and leaking and it will not open the diaphgram in the petcock to allow fuel to flow through it.
Do this and get back: 1. Take the hose off the carb and stick it in a container and crank the motor over. a. DOES THE FUEL STREAM OUT? 2. If no gas comes out then you either have the hoses connected wrong or no vacuum due to vacuum hose cracked, 3. Only other thing is the motor is not creating enough suction and or you have a very bad vacuum leak.
Best thing to help you and find your problem is take a picture of the carb area and the hoses and petcock. Alleyoop

Could I just connect the fuel line directly to the carburetor and fuel filter and bypass the petcock?

Not a good IDEA , then you will have a constant stream of fuel possibly overfilling the carb bowl and you may have gas all over the floor and on the motor overnight and a empty gas tank and if something is still hot you will have a fire. I will ask again PLEASE take some picture of the carb area and hoses and the petcock so we can get you setup right. Alleyoop
