The pecock is like an automatic off and on switch since it uses vacuum . A manual valve that you turn off or on you would always turn it off when parked so it does not over flow . When I had rides with no gas gauge reserve was a great friend .
When you drained the gas did you drain it out of the carb bowl too ? Remove , inspect and clean both jets ?
I have heard about some Rocketa 2T ( two strokes ) that had a tank venting issue that it would not work unless trhe gas cap was off or they drilled a vent hole in it . My offroad bikes had a hose coming out of the cap . You can get a syringe without the needle and try to draw vacuum to the pecock . Recheck the hoses to it as it is easy to install them wrong .
Was the new pecock exactly the same design as the old one ?
Old gas can varnish up the jets so remove and clean with any carb spray and a stiff wire to poke through them .
Is fuel filter on the right direction ? I have heard of some out of the crate on backwards from the factory . Is your fuel filter a see through type ? If so can you see fuel in it and is it full ?
