I hit 40mph GPS with a slight head wind (6-10 mph) and running 4g sliders. I'm 5-8 at about 195lbs. I'm thinking adding weight back into the variator for better top end.

My top speed is about 50mph on flat road with no wind. I am only about 160 lbs but often ride with a backpack full of school books and laptop. I havent touched the CVT yet because of a stuborn variator nut but I have done all of the mods in my signature. Stock or what I believe to be stock (as i did not buy it new) it went about 35-40 but didnt have a whole lot of power or acceleration.

I have a koso variator on both my scoots its lighter and bigger requires heavier weights, works great with dr pulley or koso sliders big gains come from cvt tuning.

Sometimes smaller weights give you a better improvement, as they allow the engine to rev higher
As long as you're not running at 7k RPM or above, I'd suggest lighter weights.

if your running too high of rpms your overreving and losing speed, its like running in place
