All the t3's I have rebuilt had 44mm pistons 63cc And I'd bet the bank Mr. Mills is right about your buddy's scooter, he's been around the block a few times. (no bad pun intended mills) [Smile] Lol well I looked by the shock on the back of my engine case and can not find a stamp I can't find it on his either. I'm starting to think I'm running a lot leaner than him so that's where I will start. I hope its that simple lol

You can get the a/f mixture right but I'm sure the results will be the same when trying to keep up on the long stretches. If it really bothers you that he is faster (my ego is wired that way) then you can budget build to beat him. Well that is if you're a wrencher. For 100-120 you'll be able to beat him with ease. It also never hurts to have the extra power to get out of bad situations.

All the 2013 ATM and T3's I have worked on were 44mm 'secret 63' engines. Those imported the last quarter or so..of the year were 50cc cause the DOT...EPA and Customs put a big smack down on them for it.. Bad part was the reason I had to work on them is they were jetted way too lean for a stock 50 even...yet they put a 63 top end on them.

Also the t3 has 12 inch tires where the atm has 10s bigger tires produce higher speeds

One reason many folks with the T3's go to lighter roller weights..to let the engine rev up a bit more to overcome the load..

They have some eBay 50mm kits that are decent. Also putting in some of scrappys gears will make a huge difference. Don't not put in gears unless you put in the bbk first. Your scooter wouldn't pull the taller gear. Now if you are not on a tight budget you can get the 50mm airsal kit that runs good with a stock head. Everything depends on your budget and how fast you want to go. Mill has built a few speed demons and can direct you in any direction you like. he built a 55+ mph gps but that type of build isn't for the budget minded person.

well let me ask you this if the wheels are causing more load then it seems I would need to rev higher to gain the speed that I am wanting what size rollers should I go with? Also I am thinking a bbk will be my friend in the near future but for now I just want to semi keep up lol.

Taking half of your rollers out isn't going to get you where you want to be. By reducing the weight that much it will rev high and lose top speed.
