Hello scoot friends--
I've not been able to find an answer from a google search and so I thought I'd bring my question here--
I've got a Lance Cali Classic 150cc and have lost the only(!) keys I had for the ignition. I'm pretty desperate to find replacements, as it's my only major form of transportation, but I don't know that this is even possible? Does anyone have any experience/wisdom when it comes to Lance Cali keys and how I'd problem-solve my situation?
Thanks so much-- any advice appreciated!

Call a locksmith or take the scooter ignition switch to a locksmith.

You can get a whole new ignition key set for under 30 bucks probably cheaper than a locksmith

Also if you have a Sym dealer near you they can possibly help.

And when you get it straightened out, have a few spares made. I keep a spare for each vehicle in my wallet, plus a few at home.

If you find one and want to get a new key made; Key blanks that have been reported to work; Curtis DC3 Ilco X121 Ilco HD69 HON42 X84 HD74 I have found those to work in the Chinese Sunny...Jonway..TaoTao and others. Taiwanese Scoots like my Adly..the older Baccio and others can use a FiatX99 Key blank or a Yugo key. But ya gotta find them online..cause as we all know..the hardware store folks hear 'Chinese' and say "nope we don't have those" Most won't even let ya look on the rack to find the keys you listed above.. But I do anyway and end up finding them. I guess since they don't know...they assume the customer is dumb as well?..lol. The Taiwanese style FiatX99 and Yugo keys I do have to get online..but for 1/3 of what they charge for regular keys..I won't complain..

After you get a key blank you still need to have it cut. Save some time and go to a locksmith first. He probably has the blanks.

The lock Sym uses may take the same key but will gennerally be of better quality. Why replace a decent well made ignition with one of questionable quality. A call to Lance may with your serial number may get your locksmith the information he needs to cut you a new key at fairly low cost. If you saved the key tags with the key code then you already have everything the locksmith needs to get you new keys cut without disassembling anything and potentially damaging your bike.

What rockynv said, plus it should only cost 3-5 dollars per key here in Ohio.

"hot wiring" the scoot will not work because the ignition switch grounds the pulse pick-up in the "off" position.
