Like the way the Ruckus frame flexes and keeps drifting off to the left during hard acceleration.

I would have put a couple of removable frame supports coming over the motor and connecting at the front of the seat.

Wow looks like a fun way to die . Yeah the extra weight and more so the waaaaaaaaay extra power would be too much for a scooter to handle . I see you have the Air Sal kit that is very good one . I also had on on my TaoTao ATMa and wow it was such an improvement . When I let a friend of a friend test ride it , he had the cash in his hand before he came to a stop . He had a stock restricted moped that the engine failed and he needed a scooter ASAP .
You would be surprised at to what a 47mm or 70cc 2T can do . When it was stock I outran most 4T 50+ or we were neck and neck . With a BBK , racing pipe and upjet I outrun em big time even 2 150s so far , and I a big guy 6ft4 200 lbs

DANG!
THAT bad boy is pretty SWEET! Looks like some good workmanship too, and the place it's "living" seems to be a place where they may build "tuner" cars and stuff. Hmmmm..... Wouldn't ya just LOVE to get PAID for making toys like that? While I dearly love the cackle of a hot Harley, I gotta admit those Japanese 4-bangers sure bark nice up around 14-grand! Bet that scoot will go faster than most of us would like to test! It MUST be a real head-turner at any gathering of scooter-jockeys OR bikers! The "hood" looks sorta rough, so I imagine it's kept under lock and key, and after hours, probably under the watchful noses of a few pit-bulls in the shop. I like it!Leo in Texas PS: It sorta makes most of our scooters seem like they suffer a little from the "YOURS is BIGGER than MINE'' syndrome... Cheesh, suddenly my 250 seems mighty "anemic"... LOL!

Looks like the "Hood" is in the industrial part of Albuquerque, and you'd need those pit bulls to keep the tweekers from stealing it to buy "product"

When I let a friend of a friend test ride it , he had the cash in his hand before he came to a stop . He had a stock restricted moped that the engine failed and he needed a scooter ASAP . I let a freind ride mine the other day to work because his car was messed up. When he dropped it back off to me he was amazed about how fast it went compared to the local rental scooters. He is now interested in buying a scooter and building it.

It is a great joy to hot rod a scooter since it does not cost too much and you only need basic tools . A lil mods and it will be stronger and last longer , not to mention more fun to ride . If you go too extreme than you risk pushing it to or beyond its limits as a small engine can only do but so much and will never perform like a Hayabusa

I know folk who do hard core turbo mods to scooters but they will use a 250 as the foundation due to the stronger frames and brakes designed for interstate speeds.
The Vespa 250 or 300 GT is the most popular due to the all metal uni-body construction as they are aiming for speeds well over 100 mph. First step is to upgrade the fuel injector to one sized for a 500/600cc engine which bolts right in and the computer seems to handle well with no modifications. The same Rexer tuner used on the Ducati, Aprilia and MotoGuzzi can then be used to fine tune things at the ECM level. Some of these guy are aiming to break the scooter land speed record using the stock engine and are quite determined.

Honda should have put the engine from the 600RR in the Grom and start an arms race.

Sure have. If you google 600cc ruckus you will pull all kinds of information up about the build. I'm glad the guy used a clone instead of chopping up a good ruckus.
