For the last 2 months, I've been researching 250 to 500cc SCOOTERS. And, I just discovered THIS! Other posts indicate a number of riders would like a full-sized MOTORCYCLE, but with the controls and operation of a SCOOTER.image uploading siteI have now seen NUMEROUS similar bikes from China, from Taiwan and such (even Kymco made a neat V-Twin like this). and they DEFINITLEY fill a unique "niche". These sit NICE and LOW, resemble "cruiser" cycles, and use what looks to be a "scooter" CVT transmission... Probably use an entire "scooter" platform, but NICELY "morphed" into a honest-to-goodness MOTORCYCLE. Die-hard "clutch n' gears" bikers may not like them, but for the current SCOOTER jockey wanting 250cc performance AND big-wheel MOTORCYCLE looks and road-handling, this type of ride just MIGHT be the ideal answer for the campus, trips to Wally World, AND trips to Grandma's pad 200 miles down the freeway... AND looking good when you arrive... Toss on a pair of "throw-over" equestrian saddlebags and you're good for the weekend! If my old bones didn't limit me to a flat-floor scoot, I'd actually consider one of these ultra-modern rides. Sharp, fast enough, looks and feels like a cycle, drives like a scooter... Just like that ladies' shoe commercial... "Looks like a pump, smells like a sneaker" or whatever it said... LOL! These aren't for everybody, but for those who want a cycle, but don't want shifting, WHOO HOO! And they seem to be even more affordable than "maxi-scooters". Definitely something to consider for riders looking for something that combines the best of SCOOTERS and MOTORCYCLES. My brain tells me it won't work, but then, my brain ain't what it once was back in the stone age... pix don't lie... LOL! These rides look pretty good to me!Leo in Texas PS: I just noticed THIS one, to protect the pretty plastics, even has built-in "crash-bars" for us old geezers who may forget to put a foot down at a red-light... LOL!

A Scoocycle?

Scoocycle... Hmmm... Could be! Somehow though, I think riders of these would probably like to call them motorcycles... or bikes... No need to mention the "twist-'n-go" ah... "feature"... to their Hog and crotch-rocket-riding compadres... LOL!These things just MAY catch on in this fast-changing world. The Japanese did it in the sixties with affordable, reliable, clean and simple cycles in the era of clanking, leaking, kick-starting dinosaurs. Now, why not affordable, reliable, clean and simple cycles with no gears? Stranger things have happened... Heck, Honda and Aprilla already offer BIG 700-800cc 140 mph rides like these... Not so cheap, but still, big brothers to these 250's. Me thinks the CVT tranny is here to stay. Our Alaskan bros have quietly accepted them on 100 mph snow-machines for decades!I used to have a hard time accepting anything more contemporary than a foot-clutch Harley, but I'm slowly "modernizing" my thinking since I've sorta fallen in love with scooters... Probably something the Wife put in my Geritol... LOL!Ride safe, my friend!Leo

Sorry guys I know it's kind of boring but they already named those. It's an automatic motorcycle... Definitely not a motorooter

CF Moto also offer(ed?) the V3 - a more classical style of automatic motorcycle.
V3
V5
I believe automatic 'motorcycles' are definitely going to grow in popularity due to their cool factor.

Although I understand the concept, I'm not too fond of going gearless. Those 250's are best used for the suburbs, rather than the city; where there's little gear switching needed. A CVT eats MPG, performance, gets hot, and the belts wear fast on 250's. I personally love gears, only in cities gears are annoying (due to too much shifting in start stop traffic). For that reason, I see no real benefit in this bike, other than an overpowered city bike, or a weak mid distance travel bike, not suited for the long rides.
My personal opinion though... But I understand it might be a good option for those who are afraid of shifting, and want something easy to do rides just a little longer than around the corner; perhaps occasionally to go on the 55-60MPH roads...

I'll probably ride my current scooter (only a month old) for at least a year before I upgrade, if for no other reason than I'll be tinkering with it for at least that long. But this definitely gets my upgrade button itching!

There is one here in town. First time I saw it I had to walk around it a couple times trying to take it all in. Just sort of peculiar no matter which angle you looking at it from. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

The only thing that stopped me from trading for one of these was it's limited top speed. I'll stick with my CFMoto Fashion 250 .....for now
