I have a shark stereo i put on my scoot it sounds awesome and all the controls are on the handle bars. I put a clip on small mp3 radio player with it. I got it for 45 bucks, thought i'd share and can make a vid if anyone is interested on how it sounds Attachments:

I just never could understand the need for music on a bike. I also really have no use for other peoples noise getting to me in my space. I usually really do not like the stuff they consider music. When somebody pulls up and is rattling my ear drums, it makes me want to do something that would be just as upsetting to them.

[replyingto=skuttadawg]skuttadawg[/replyingto]I have the boss mc 500 on my scooter. Taking it off and going to add something that doesn't have the speaker in such a noticeable spot.

When somebody pulls up and is rattling my ear drums, it makes me want to do something that would be just as upsetting to them. For my personal taste and concerns, I agree in some ways. Although I like listening to music in a car, I think it would be distracting for me in many ways on a bike. For example; tinkering around to change the song, station, or volume. Music also can play a part in a person's mood. On the upside if it get's the attention of other motorists, then at least you will be noticed. Till this day I've never seen or heard someone on a moped or motorcycle that had a sound system in person. $45 for a set up sounds like a good deal though, and if your enjoying it and it does not disrupt your riding, then I don't see why not. It's just not for everyone I guess.

[replyingto=desmerwebb]PCB_GY6%27n[/replyingto]I see the speakers, but where is the unit itself mounted? Did I miss it somehow?

I put mine in the pocket by my knees. My amp has the radio built into it so I didn't put it under seat.
